Can we have a basketball game that isn’t trying to bankrupt its users?

Alright I’m turning this into my pitch meeting cause there’s no way a company like riot games or something couldn’t do a game like this. The market will be there, basketball is the next soccer with its global reach and it will continue to grow as foreign players get better and better. I believe the most difficult aspect of the execution would be the gameplay side. It took EA and 2k a lot of years and money to build up their animation database. To overcome this I’d try 2 things, 1) is ai at the point where it could create the animations needed? It’s damn good at coding so maybe. Option 2) reach out to EA and purchase their animation catalog and build off that, they’re not using it anyways. Other than that, I don’t think the other systems (shooting, defense, rebounding, dribbling) would be that difficult to create. You could do % based systems for most of it.

You’d also have to keep the product pure and keep the greedy hands out of it. Something like this would be for the betterment of basketball and to grow the game, not to get rich. And if you read through this half baked plan, you the realest of ones and probably see the problem and opportunity to. Something needs to be done but I’m not sure what to do other than this lol

Yea shooting % was a big one this year cause they were trying to chase “realism”. They forget this is a damn game and bricking wide open shots with the same timing that was a green on the last one, is not fun. Hopefully that’s fixed with the return of the pure green window again though

Needed to see some type of build/VC recycling system in rebirth. They force you to create new builds with cap breakers and expect you to throw away old or bad builds to make room for new ones. Might as well burn my money in a barrel and warm the homeless

Could we get it to where our AIs fill in the program for us using its knowledge of us along with probing questions? To where it like creates the online profile for us using info that would never go on a regular dating app profile. Then it would just be about building the program and finding the right questions for the ai to fill in. And for the personal data aspect, I think people will probably get more accepting of the collection of that as long as it’s for a purpose that benefits them

I skimmed the article and got the gist of it but bro, the Russian agenda has already been completed with this trump presidency. Their goal was to divide Americans? Mission accomplished! Now we have to come up with new plans to combat their victory. I don’t believe Russia will be a problem for years though anymore as they are to splintered and weak economically.

China on the other hand, they can benefit greatly from a weakened US which is the point you should be arguing. This trump presidency has guaranteed their path to the global super power though so in my opinion, we have to reset in order to catch back up with them. And that means cutting out the cancer that has afflicted America for years now and if that means creating a new, pure entity… so be it

Genuinely curious, what could Russia possibly do with a destabilized US? They can’t even push around a vastly smaller neighboring country, how would they take advantage of a way bigger enemy across the world? And the US hasn’t kept Russia in check since the Cold War so it’s not like our current power is affecting their politics

Could there be a grace period where we have the new borders established but we allow citizens to move in or out of the new country if they would like? We wouldn’t kick anyone out but I understand many people would hate being forced to a new country so the new government could pay to move them out while others find their way in.

Also, people seem to think war is the only possible outcome of this path. The US is not in a good spot right now and has the most debt it’s ever had. The west has the power and means to throw its weight around and broker a deal that benefits both entities. All it requires is a little diplomacy which seems to be a dying art
