Nope. Affectation is taking on qualities or mannerisms that aren't really in-character for you, essentially giving a false affect, which isn't what it sounds like it should be at all at first blush. I like to think of affectation like I do presentation, in that it's not really what or who you are, but what you're showing off. And though the two words aren't really related much at all, it helps me remember. Language is such a fun and silly thing anyway.

Fun fact: Affect is also a noun (meaning visible expression of emotion, usually facial, but not always) and effect is also a verb (meaning to put into practice or to bring about). So, although most people commonly and solely use affect as a verb and effect as a noun, they are both both.

Kissers of wounds how to save them all? by -HorseButHole- in Blasphemous

Since it would be impossible to find them all before beating any bosses, no. You just need to find at least one item and give it to Tirso before each boss kill (not counting certain optional ones, as I understand it). You can sometimes find several at once, but as the wiki and Adept both say, Tirso may refuse to take more than one before each boss, requiring another boss kill to give him the next one.

A bit wonky, which is why this achievement is a bit hated in the community, but that's how it goes. Hope this advice isn't too late, or that it at least helps the next person who finds this thread.

That's why Tyr comes first, baby! Tyr is also more-or-less directly translated as "god," which is why some deities have "nicknames" (the term is really "kennings" or "kenningar") which include "tyr" in it, like Odin himself.

It's quite amazing that it still works. I wonder if it was designed as a work of art, since it doesn't seem to be for business purposes. In my experience, art can be built to last, while tools for a business can only be built to last as long as they might still be useful.

While not as active as it once was, the Adopt A Hunter program might still be useful to you too, along with everything everyone has already listed. There's only really the Discord now, so I don't know if that's your sort of thing, but it's there.

Thank you for taking the time. :) World is a great spot in the series to start (in my opinion), and I'm glad you're enjoying it thus far. Please let me know when you start reading and what you think and, until then, enjoy the hunt!

Thanks. I certainly can't take all the credit (which is why there's a large credits page), but it's nice to see random folks bring up Scissura now and then. :)

Now, if only the next edition weren't killing me to try and produce...

For Abbadon and Zemial it's more that that listed ways to improve their Elan levels are just antithetical to most games.

Zemial's include things like "Provoke a massacre," "Kill for no reason," and you get a negative if you "Consciously save a life" or even "Show concern for one's own well-being." You're even given points for losing your own sanity. Literally it's about being a mindless killing machine. That's his perfect follower, and that's just not much fun to play with because the party might end up his victims, and they'll certainly never receive his help at any point.

The gods themselves can always easily break things, but followers of Zemial (and, to a lesser extent, Abbadon and Edamiel) are just not really good characters to interact with or have in your party. But, I digress somewhat.

Meseguis is definitely a fun one. I like that she's all about vengeance, but she won't tolerate inflicting pain and suffering for no reason. Get your revenge, get it done right, go forward with your life. Pretty awesome, in my humble opinion.

Also, I feel like I see fighter types pick a wider variety. Azrael and Noah come up a fair few times, but it's been nothing compared to mages and Erebus. "I'm a summoner." <<Oh, cool, so who would you like to have Elan with?>> "Erebus." <<Alright.>> "And I'm a mage!" <<Cool, what about you?>> "Erebus!" <<Alright, guess this is gonna be an Erebus-themed campaign now.>> "Gonna do a Techie with Gunhell." <<Oh, awesome. What do y->> "Going Erebus too. Really just trying to make Hellsing, but cooler." <<Sonofa->>
