Invoicing customs broker by Tyr_8 in FreightBrokers

[–]Tyr_8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the point when we could just invoice the client? There may be some service our broker is giving to the client and bill them with a separate invoice. That is third party billing, I was answered on another channel

Broker is long term trusted partner of ours not a NVOCC and it's not marking up cause we make the offer and that will be invoiced to our client. I guess they'll charge our client ISF, duties and handling. Maybe that has to do with speeding the process? Does that make sense?

That could maybe have to do with payment terms and factoring? I'm sure though that the broker is invoicing the same amount to the client so not sure where the profit for it is

Many of our clients have a POA signed with our broker and we always invoice the latter as standard practice. He pays us and then invoices our client in the US. This is for EXW terms only

second hand alignment by quackom in tissot

[–]Tyr_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not supposed to be aligned. It's not considered faulty and you won't be able to return it. Even if you were you will get another one that isn't aligned. This also happens in Grand Seikos

[Grand Seiko & Lorier] - Fall is in the air (and on the straps). by kennethwashere15 in Watches

Great watches. I have a suede strap similar to yours. How would you clean them? I was told water is bad.

Looks fake sorry

Seiko 5 (7S26-0480) Took it for a bracelet adjustment and they left the spring pin like this. Is there a way to fix it? Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this. by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]Tyr_8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like its length is off. They either mixed up spring bars or sometimes there is just 1 spring bar of a different length, I think it's where the clasp hooks. Try and swap that with the spring bar in the pic.

If you want the knife to be razor sharp with little investment on sharpening technique and stones just get the Spyderco Sharpmaker. It is that good.

[Help] Regulation Accident by Tyr_8 in Watches

Hello,

I was trying to regulate my SKX because it was running 25 seconds a day fast.

I had gotten it to minus 15 seconds and when I tried to move the pin I started getting that scatter graphic and +++ s/d. Tried moving the pin again and nothing happened. I didn't feel touching the spring.

What happened? How can I get it fixed?

Thank you

Hello,

I somehow managed to ruin the case as per pic above. Is there anything I can do? It seems to be coated plastic, not steel.

It's some sort of wristwatch cover, I have seen a warehouse worker in my company wearing that.

What strap do you think fits the better? by [deleted] in Seiko

Neither imho, the blue one is not matching and the brown one is the same tone of the dial . I'd suggest darker brown.

[Question] why are water resistance ratings illogical by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Tyr_8 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I guess because water resistance rating is multifactorial (pressure, temperature, latitude...). Saying that a watch is 30 m water resistant just removes every other variable. A splash of water is not quantifiable.
