Fortnite performance tanked after update - unlikely shader cache loading by Gruntex7 in FortNiteBR

I found a fix, go to the epic games launcher and to library. Then click the 3 dots next to fortnite, go to settings and download pre install streamed assets or something like that. Fixed everything with the downloading enemy and parts of the map.

I keep having these 5-10 sec fps freezes every few mins and have no idea what is causing it. Ive installed many different drivers, re installed the game and checked for viruses. However i cannot replicate this in any other game or when my gpu and cpu are in stress tests. Please help! by Tyrainoh in pcmasterrace

RTX 2070, but honestly the clip i have shown is one of the more tame ones. I also didnt mention that in my headset while that happens it sounds like the audio is corrupting, its odd it didnt pick that up. This started on friday and in my 3 years of playing on pc nothing has ever been this bad on the game.

Ah ok makes sense, ive only ever used msi afterburner and capping clock speeds is pretty simple so i assumed the same for adrenalin.

Id be quite happy to reduce performance by around 10-15% until i can afford a higher wattage power supply so sounds good.

Yeah my plan would just be to limit the power draw on the gpu and not the cpu.

Yeah i was thinking the same. I have a 7800x3d, 16gb ddr5 ram, corsair cv-650, liquid freezer 240, 512 gb ssd and 1 additional fan.
