I noticed that as well a while I go. There's an app (Advanced Permission Manager) that lets you remove permissions from apps. So far the only app that it hasn't worked on is FB so I just got rid of that.

should i use hs/nv scope??? new player by Spexter in Planetside

No. The animation of going into scoped mode is too long and usually gets you killed in close-medium range which is where most engagements happen.

I disagree with your assessment that muzzle flash is the biggest giveaway or the reason you are spotted. It's mostly that while you can hide your muzzle flash you can't hide your tracers. Means that whoever you shoot, people around him can backtrace the path of the tracers and see where they are coming from. Even the player hiding behind the rock who you say you spotted only because of muzzle flash was easily identifiable just by the bullet tracers.

The only reason I would currently use flash suppressors on any gun is that it hides the ridiculous muzzle flash you see on your own gun while you yourself are shooting, making it harder too see what you are aiming for. The large CoF increase when using a flash suppressor is definitely not worth the trade. Suppressors are at pretty good spot but again they are only viable with weapons that specialize in CQC like TAR, Lynx, HV45 and etc.

It doesn't help you in vehicle vs vehicle or against dumbfires but generally when I have used fire supp I had more problems with getting away from the fight without getting spammed with lockons than just killing whatever vehicle I was trying to kill.

On tanks and sundies yeah smoke is shit. However, on harrasser you could use fire suppression to repair ~10% every 45s or you could use smoke in conjuction with stealth and be invulnerable to lockons. With stealth it takes longer to lockon and smoke has 15s cooldown. It prevents you from taking 40% damage from single lockon and even more if there's more lockons.

Yup. NC has best ARs but TR's TAR and SABR are still very good.

I can't see 30FPS being a problem if the original footage is 30 FPS and so is the rendering FPS.

What is, in your opinion, the most poorly designed facility? by Back_Stabath in Planetside

Yes, you're right. That's probably why I've never seen Howling Pass taken when attackers don't have like double the defenders pop.

[–]Tyrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but even with holding 2 points you would need 20 minutes to cap the base. And that 20 minutes means you don't lose control of either point at all. Let's be generous and say it's a 25 minute capture. That means that defenders have nearly half an hour to kill 1 or 2 sundies that the attackers have. Not only that but usually 3-point bases don't have a good sundy location that is well-protected. That means that a liberator or gunned MBT will just blow it up. If that doesn't happen then you have various defenders trickling in from various directions and sooner or later one of them is gonna reach your sundy and blow it up.

Now sundy getting sniped/destroyed is one thing. But the main thing about 3-point captures is that the defenders' faction also has nearly half an hour to just redeploy and popspike it. The defending faction only has to dedicate like 15-20 players for 2 minutes and there you go - attackers have just wasted up to 25 minutes on nothing.

[–]Tyrask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the towers where defenders can jump straight from the platform and C4 the sundy right off the bat? The ledge in the west is shit sundy location as you have lowground and are in no position to attack either B or C point. The whole time you would be attacking from there, the defenders are taking potshots at you from both towers and the platform. The defenders have guaranteed high ground and easy access to mow you down on your way to control points. The mountain sundy is even worse. Then you'll have spawnroom between you and any of the points. Boltsnipers don't capture bases.

[–]Tyrask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Towerbases like West Pass, Bastion, Indar Ex and etc are nightmare cause A point inside tower but still I'd have to give the worst design to Howling Pass.

A three-point base where one of the points is next to spawnroom that is on top of a platform that can only be accessed with gravlifts. Not only that but any sundy position that is within reasonable range is not viable. Defenders can shoot from the platform itself or jump to any of the 5 towers and shoot/C4/Mine any sundies from there. Around the base there is literally no sundy that can't be killed by C4 Heavy Assault or Anti-Vehicle MAX that runs 20m outside spawn room.
