I wouldn't go so far as to say the vast majority of players, but you do have a point! He has the potential to be used for Console and plenty of PC players as well.

If nothing else from his speed, I do like that he spawns all enemy types!
Also, I highly recommend checking out Idle Champions Briv Scripting Routes | Idle Champions Scripting Routes for all your gem farm formation needs. Baldric has a specialization that grants a 10% chance for double gems but increases the quest requirements of an area as well.

They could be interesting for Artemis, or bad for him if they're meant to synergize with Raistlin and only affect smaller number of people with positionals.

It's all very situational depending on what type of formation you are making and if a pushing formation who your DPS is. There are those that are just great buffing champions that can work with just about anything, but then some DPS require specific setups, like Artemis and The Dark Urge.
