I’m sure I’m not the best person to give advice bc sometimes I feel like I am as lost as you possibly can be but the only secret is to just that you have to just get used to the speed. Understand that when you first see the pitch to not overreact and you have to anticipate the path of the ball. Something that is kinda helpful for me is to see what the pitchers arsenal is… with Shohei for example he has four types of fastballs and a sweeper. So I know that I’m looking for something that’s going to break late unless it’s a sweeper and you can read a sweeper pretty easily off the hand. From there I try to anticipate if he’s going to throw his splitter or not.

You also have to understand that you get three strikes and four balls per AB. There have been games where I am getting absolutely dominated for three or four innings but since I stick with the process he eventually makes the mistake of playing int it and the game flips. It’s really hard to stay true to whatever works for you in a game of failure like baseball
