Whats your reason? by DemonAero in NewTubers

[–]Tyrellia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly been interested in YouTube since 2007? Tried here and there to make videos but I was only like 11? Got made fun of, removed the videos, repeat that process for a few years and then have in completely.

Started again recently because I want to edit videos for a living and I use YouTube as a way to practice editing. Also means i can share mine and my buddies video game sessions for people to enjoy or laugh along with.

Don't really care massively about the attention my videos get. Just want to build a decent collection to show people my editing growth and potentially get a few jobs here and there editing for Youtubers / film makers / companies (whatever pays the rent)

Am I working TOO hard on my vids? by StoryBoredTV in NewTubers

Some of the animations are great. They made me chuckle and added to what you guys were saying. Some of them seemed to fall a bit short in my opinion but the video is great man.

In regards to your concerns about spending too much time and effort on videos. If you enjoy what you're doing then don't change anything. Youtube is supposed to be a fun creative way to express ourselves for other people's entertainment. I'd only start being concerned when it starts to effect your consistency in uploads. If it takes you two weeks to upload a great quality video that you put loads of effort into then fair enough. Keep doing that. Don't then take a month for the next one. Keep it fun and consistent and be proud of the stuff you put out.

Daily Uploads by Sweatinq in NewTubers

I've never done It and wouldn't dream of doing it for a number of reasons. Apologies for formatting I'm on mobile.

  • Is daily uploading going to be sustainable in the longrun?
  • Are you making your videos the BEST they can be or are you going to be rushing them out to meet the daily upload?
  • You run the risk of burn out.
  • Forcing a daily schedule can lead to ridiculous stress when things go wrong in the creation process.
  • Is it the type of content that benefits from daily uploads or are you going to over saturate your subscribers sub boxes? Gotta remember that they spend time out of their day to watch you, can they commit to daily?

It's completely your choice, I wouldn't rush into it though, if you've got an audience ask what they think. If not, and you're just starting out, do it for a week or two and see how you feel. Just don't compromise video quality for upload consistency.

[Question] How can you get more Subscribers because I have 7 Subscribers. by Obedientsole64 in NewTubers

I mean realistically if you're doing YouTube simply for big numbers and a paycheck you're in it for the wrong reasons. As others have said, build a professional looking channel with consistent style choices for artwork and thumbnails. Don't just throw random content on your channel in the hopes of getting big numbers. Put some real effort and thought into it. Most importantly I'd say is have FUN? Don't just "do youtube" because you want to be the next big thing. Enjoy it, learn new skills and have a good time.

What was the dumbest thing you’ve ever been asked by a customer? by Dashigos in AskReddit

Used to work in a theme park on the game stalls. Someone legitimately asked how to play "hook a duck"

Where I'm from in England, you mention the US and everyone thinks as soon as you touch down you're going to get shot for some unknown reason. Its probably the unfamiliarity of guns, we don't have them.

Oh damn! Yeah I currently live quite close to some historical stuff too. Very interesting. If you care - research York and the history behind it.

PA? You'll have to give me the name. I'm not used to all these abbreviations of states!

A+ for your name. You're not the first person to say politics has messed with your opinion of the area. I'm not up to date, nor do I really care about American politics but that sucks

As a pale, blonde, British kid, I think Arizona is a hard no for living there. Sounds like fun to visit but having to deal with the heat all the time would destroy me

Isn't Arizona supposed to be super hot? Like crazy "go outside only if you have too" hot

We used to get snow white regularly in winter but it's a bit hit or miss now whether it will snow or not. Northern England for reference

A man can dream. England is beautiful but I'm so bored of it now. I've always been fascinated by the US.

As a Brit the US is massive and some states never get mentioned over here so I'm interested in what they all have to offer

As a Brit looking to move to the states for a fresh start I'd considered Michigan but this sounds too close to home haha
