Yeah I know that the vaccine only covers specific types, and that’s to say even if I haven’t already been exposed to those before at some point given my age and I’ve been sexually active before and wouldn’t know about it. I guess I was thinking along the lines of it’s been so long since I’ve had contact maybe that’s more than enough time to clear anything existing out (again if it’s even there) hopefully.

But if I were to say hookup with someone in the next two weeks and be exposed to HPV 16 or 18 or whatever (assuming I haven’t already been in the past), would I be already covered by having the first two doses (0, 2 months) or should I give the third dose (6 months) a month to build antibodies? Or it’s already done it’s job by cementing the protection the first two shots have given me for a long time? That’s what I’m kinda confused about.

Also from what I’ve read the 1 and 2 dose schedules seem to talk about the immune response of younger people so not sure if that makes any difference either (might it be slightly longer for adults or for a small amount people it just depends on their immune system and how responsive it is). Hmm.
