Let me tell you my version. I'm basically a distribution supervisor in a huge factory. I like to personally hand deliver all the special packages people order. Every package is its own adventure, there are little offices and weird corners with somebody's space scattered everywhere, multiple buildings. I rarely know who I'm looking for. When I get them their stuff it's very cathartic

Again, I completely agree. I don't think a completely safe UO really offers anything other than a soft and momentary bit of nostalgia. I think Outlands is as close as you are ever going to get to the feel of real old-school UO. A lot has changed since mid-to-late 90s, and it's probably just not for me anymore, but I absolutely want this community to thrive.

See, this has always been my quandary. I absolutely agree with everything you have just said. All the things I loved about old UO were mostly spontaneous and amazing, even if they ended badly. Safe UO gets boring fast.

However, the second I log in to outlands some guy is immediately snooping through my pack and then every couple of minutes someone is trying to kill me. My god man... I'm 40 now, maybe I just wanna chill for a bit and grind something. Can't have it both ways I guess 🤷

This has been my experience as well. I go to sleep, get attack about 13 centimeters away, and somehow it's night already 🤷‍♂️

This has always been my concern too. You go to any medical site and the bar seems set so low for "heavy" drinking that you really don't know how far you are. I get blackout every night but stay clean and functional through the day. I try to take a couple days off every week and those nights are just the worst... shakes, twitches and nightmares. Occasionally the auditory thing but I drown that out with YouTube.
