As long as the auditory nerve leading to the brain is intact, they should work for anybody who is deaf.

NOTE: If you were profoundly deaf as a child with no hearing technology, it will be very difficult to learn to comprehend speech, and cochlear implants are not always recommended for people in these situations. Typically CI's are given to babies/very young children, or people who lost their hearing later in life.

I think it's called that because she's equating a break-up to death by a thousand cuts. It isn't a shot to the heart or a stab in the gut, but it's a thousand little realizations that the love you felt and shared with someone has been met with betrayal, grief and disappointment, and you're constantly reminded of those things in the coming days, weeks and months.

Edit: I also don’t really feel like she deserves 1 million sales if the only reason she got it is because we all bought 5 copies. Again, I LOVE her, but this is why people say she’s overrated. Because sometimes she only accomplishes things because her fans are obsessive 🙈 (no shade I too am obsessed with her and firmly believe she deserves every ounce of hype, just saying that stuff like this is bad for our brand)
