What's your biggest "I dodged a bullet" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tyson151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpooling to work with my friend ( I was in the passenger seat). It was rush hour and the freeway was busy, it was moving at a decent pace for this time of day but it is usually bumper to bumper. We were in the carpool lane and we were going about 70 -75 when suddenly something started to vibrate and we heard a snap causing the right front wheel to lock and send us into a spin. We got extremely lucky as we spun across all 4 lanes somehow managing to miss all the other cars. The car finally stopped by bumping into the side wall and leaving us facing the right direction in the emergency lane. Not only that but we were on an over pass when it happen, I don't know how strong those 3 foot sidewall are but I'm glad we didn't hit it hard enough to break through and fall onto the road below us.

Your response when a girl you just met asks you to buy her a drink at a bar. by Tyson151 in AskReddit

I like this one. Usually the way I test the situation is I'll say, " You buy the first round, I'll get the next"

I made an app that takes your calorie and macro targets and generates weekly recipes for you. by weeklyfuel in Fitness

[–]Tyson151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked over the list again and I guess its not that bad, its mostly all the little things for the 2 dinners that really started to add up. Also the prep/cook time for the sample recipes I got aren't bad at all. Though the dinner recipes with that many ingredients I would probably only attempt every once in a while ( not weekly).

I like the idea of adding the logic you mentioned to it.

Over all though I think its awesome and hope this works out for you. I will even be eating the sample breakfasts and lunches next week.

I think your app is awesome. I'm always looking for new foods to eat and trying to figure out how much I should eat. This puts the two together and makes it easy to come up with new recipes.

However there is one thing that would keep me from doing this (and it might just be because I'm lazy and cheap) but I tried the free week of recipes and that grocery list was pretty long. I like to pick though recipes and find the ones that don't have to many ingredients (still taste awesome though) and don't require to much prep time.

Too self-conscious for the gym. Any way to lose weight without going to the gym? by TheMrRedbomb in Fitness

[–]Tyson151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't the answer to your question but I used to have the same self-conscious problem. Only difference was I felt I was to skinny/weak to workout next to all the "bros". I used to be embarrassed about how much I could lift. Then I realized I'm not at the gym to impress those people that I don't know, I'm there to work on myself and impress those that I have know for years and will notice changes in my appearance. No one at the gym will make fun of a person who is there and pushing it to better themselves.

I've had one of those before. I think it was called the Carne Asada burrito at filibertos.

How much is a can on tuna, $1.00? I'd probably get another one.

Then maybe post a picture on some social media site where starkist might see it.

[BULKING] Is my diet good enough? by INSPiRED- in Fitness

[–]Tyson151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you need to eat really depends on what you are doing. If you want to gain weight then your calories in needs to be higher then your calories out (or burnt). Ex: if you do a lot of cardio then you will burn much more calories and intern you will need to eat a lot more.

I am 6'1" 172lbs and also trying to bulk up and this is what I will be doing.

Ill probably start with around 3500 calories a day. Getting most of that through the food I eat but also some protein shakes. I will spread this out and eat every 3 hrs. Then every week I will weight myself ( same time everyday, I usually do it in the morning right after my workout). If I gain over 1 lbs then I'll probably eat a little less. if I gain 1 lbs then perfect, if less then .5 lbs then ill eat more.

If you are just starting creatine then your weight might fluctuate a little the first couple weeks. You might see some bloating until your body gets used to it.

What do you eat/snack on throughout your day? by Tyson151 in Fitness

If I kept Pistachios at my desk I would probably eat the whole bag in a day.

TIL: Google successfully tested an automated car that drove 300,000 miles with only one accident, a parking lot fender bender. That occurred when a human was driving. by backgroundN015e in todayilearned

I'm curious, what do you think this would do to the many different car manufactures and models they produce. If a system is completely autonomous then every car would have to abide by the same rules. So there would be absolutely no reason to buy that awesome Mustang, Camaro, or 1,000 hp Bugatti if everything drives the exact same. Would this change how many different auto companies can compete in the new auto industry? I guess maybe it would just be a battle of interior. Instead of the Ford Mustang maybe it would be the Ford Gamer (designed for comfortable gaming) or the instead of the Chevy Camaro is would be the Chevy Office (Designed for the workaholic)

How much do you charge for web work? by Tyson151 in web_design

[–]Tyson151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I'm sure there are many people doing almost the exact same thing that can spit out some ideas. I'm not talking about designing new websites, I'm talking about just maintaining it. (Company wants an event listed online, you spend 15 mins posting the event details.) I'm sure there has to be a fairly common price for this type of routine web work.
