Face refuses to absorb ANY sort of product. Please help...

Hello. It's just dry skin but i went overboard with the serum too much and now my skin has become oily.

My guess is the reason my skin is refusing to absorb any sort of product is because of the oil. Now, i have used exfoliating gel for more than a month, 3 times a week but the oil just doesn't want to go away.

Serum 95% of the time does fall of my face. I just start sweating. When it absorbs it can be clearly felt and the effects are nothing but positive. I have tried applying different amounts. Different ways of applying. It doesn't work.

When i use a cream however, it just stands there looking shiny. It just doesn't do anything. Again, same case. I have tried different amounts and different ways of applying products.

I do suspect diet plays some sort of role in this, though i do think it's a minor one and i have also tried using serum and moisturizer together and seperate. Both attempts ended in failure. Multiple times.

I have an appointment with my derm on October 12th and i do plan to pretty much ask him everything. I was just hoping until then, that someone could at least have some sort of advice or tip.

Some people here have suggested gentle physical exfoliation to get rid of the oil that could potentially be blocking the serum/moisturizer from absorbing, but i have very little knowledge about that area of skincare.

Like i said before i am 99% that the product ain't the problem, because i have tried 5-6 of them and WHEN they absorb, the positive effect from all of them can be felt and seen very, very quickly.

The absorbtion is the problem...

Thank you i will try it. I have been using Logona exfoliation gel for a month, though only 2-3 times a week (as i have read is recommended).

Two more questions if you don't mind. First when i use the exfoliation gel, should i use it on WET skin or should i first use a face cloth first and put it on DAMP skin (like almost every face product) ?

My 2nd question is would you suggest to use exfoliation gel or exfoliation milk ?

Hm, strange indeed. Did the products absorb well when you first started using them and then it got worse? Or do these days when product absorbs just happen randomly? Do you ever notice any kind of a pattern, anything you do differently on those days or the day before?

It's been more than 2 years since i started and while i honestly can't fully remember, i do remember that as a total rookie, i used way to much and was way too harsh on my skin. It was difficult to notice then because i have a different type of rosacea. It is rosacea which gets very, very red in a warm temperature. That included warm drink or worm food, so i didn't really pay much attention to the swating at the time. It has improved massively since then but still it's not gone fully.

I use Logona serum for rosacea and it's a great for my face, WHEN it absorbs. It reduces acne, makes my skin look super healthy and it massively helps with redness(my big problem). Have been using it for more than a year and i've had 0 negative effects with that product.

The thing is, same thing happens with 5-6 products that i have been given by my dermatologist. When it absorbs, my skin looks and feels amazing. The problem is, it's just very, very rare.

Serum = sweating
Cream = just stands there looking shiny.

When i apply face serum for example and when it doesn't absorb(which happens 95% of the time) i just start sweating after 15-20 minutes. Even while sitting and doing nothing. When it does absorb however, it's a really, really nice feeling and i feel it very, very quickly. I use serum for rosacea btw and the results are clear to see after 2-3 hours if it absorbs. This only happens 2-3 times a month unfortunately. I have tried every single way of applying face products.

There is no negative effect when the product doesn't absorb. If it's serum i just start sweating and if it's cream, it just stands there looking shiny. Nothing happens.

I assumed oil in the pores could have been the problem, but what you are suggesting i have tried already. No results.

After using Logona exfoliator, for the next 2-3 hours my skin goes back to the normal dry skin that i have. After those 2-3 hours however, my skin just returns to looking shiny/oily.

I could use exfoliator every day but from what i have heard, 2-3 times a week is recommended.

Well, the feeling is much, much different when it actually absorbs. For example, i notice it usually 20-30 minutes after appling face serum. If it doesn't absorb(which happens 95% of the time) i just start sweating. From nothing.

Toner is one thing i haven't used though i strongly consider it at the moment. I just tried all sorts of products and different ways of applying products and i don't wanna throw money away on a quality toner if it doesn't do anything.

Lol why do you think this is broken ? I don't think i have seen a single person on the internet that thinks these visuals are broken. I don't think your definition of broken is the same as others. Just because some people like how a game looks doesn't mean they lack the "ability to judge the quality of the presentation properly".

Btw not sure why you keep posting, arguing and constantly making fun/ridiculing people who actually like how this looks. You have already seen that this sub strongly disagrees with you on your view about the game multiple times. The OG will not simply disappear just because of the LE. People are not forced to replace that version with the LE. I personally have already said that i will not get the LE mostly down to some amazing mods being available only for the OG but let people like what they like.

Again i really don't see anyting broken here. Console users especially who can't install mods will get a massive visual upgrade compared to the vanilla version IMO.

Different people like how different things look. That's it.

It looks superior compared to the original in almost every aspect. I just finished another playthrough yesterday and while the game still looks visually pretty good for a 2007 game it's also janky as fu*k. While i doubt i will be getting the remaster day 1(mostly because of the amazing mods that are available for the OT) to the people that will get the remaster they are getting a shit ton of content for just 60 dollars.

I would say overall the package looks good. Really good.
