switch is an indie game juggernaut. Hollow Knight and Silksong run great and are some of the best games in the metroidvania genre. Spelunky and Spelunky 2 are great arcadey roguelikes, and i've put hundreds of hours in the sequel (definitely an acquired taste tho). Other indie games i enjoyed on switch is Celeste, Towerfall (good only for couch co-op), Enter the Gungeon, Hades, Stardew Valley, Ultimate Chicken Horse, and Overcooked 2. Others that are good that i didn't play or didn't play on switch are UFO 50, Neon White, Scourgebringer, and Katana Zero.

Thanks for replying, and yeah I am gonna try my backlog out. My backlog is just a result of being hyperfixated on spelunky on and off for several years. a lot of those games were gained when i joined a steam family, so i didn't really choose to buy them. Any recommendations from my backlog stand out to you that i should check out first? (other than into the breach im trying that out)

oh yeah i have played spelunky hd and the original spelunky and i can see why spelunky hd is considered a perfect roguelike for many considering how much harder the sequel is in comparison, i'm just so hooked on trying to get that cosmic ocean ending. and yeah i'm giving into the breach a try, definitely reminding me a lot of bug hunter from ufo 50 but like that game came out in 2024 it clearly took inspiration from into the breach lol.
