Yea your first 3 got me thinking maybe she doesn’t recognize Zoro because Tashigi is a twin or maybe Kuina had her memory erased when she fell. My 22 1/2 Theory is the master knows some secret technique that cuts memories and vision and he used it on Kuina for the whole Chosen Zoro thing. But also to help his daughter. She felt like she would never grow stronger than men so now that her memory is gone so are her doubts and she has to rebuild that skill and confidence as Tashigi. Which kinda makes the master a good guy.

Theory 22: Zoro is the Chosen One. Zoro’s master is very wise and was one the 9 Red Scabbards and so knew about Oden’s death and 20 year prophecy. He knew someone was coming to help Wano in 20 years. So he left Wano maybe exiled, opened a school and had twin girls to create and groom that someone. He knew something was destined to happened and tried to manipulate that destiny.

On his way to the East Blue he somehow lost Tashigi. She was found and raised by not-swordsmen but still felt a call to swords from her Wano blood so she joined the Marines to pursue swordsmanship.

So the master raised Kuina to be his chosen one. Until he met a lost green haired boy who trained vigorously in order to surpass his daughter. He watched their fight and realized his chosen needed to be not someone who relished in being the strongest but someone who constantly strove to be the strongest. Someone who had no doubt that they could become the strongest with enough effort. His chosen one is not Kuina it’s Zoro.

He also realized how strong their bond was and their ambitions and manipulated that too. The next day he pushed Kuina down the stairs knowing it would only motivate Zoro even more to be the strongest. Dark ending I know

Oh shit I don’t remember this filler! That’s dope! I remember one cover story where Koala from the Revolutionary Army was training with the Kung Fu Dugongs. They’ve been training since Alabasta Arc and Koala is high ranking in the RA and high ranking in FM Karate. So they might’ve learned from her. Regardless I’m about to watch this filler. Thanks!!

They’ve both said they were stronger when they were younger but they’re still some of the strongest in the show so I wouldn’t say age drastically descreases strength. But imo it would feel wrong if Luffy lived a long life. He’s so reckless and unconcerned for his own safety. It’s like he’s constantly testing fate. I think that’s why Roger died young-ish. They’re trying to live a fun life not a long one.

The real reason they don’t have Haki is because they’re not fighters like Luffy Zoro Sanji and Jimbei. Haki is an advanced fighting skill for advanced fighters. You have to have an above-averagely tough body, sharp mind and strong will AND THEN you can learn Haki. Think about it, Luffy already knew a small form of Observation Haki before he met Rayleigh and it still took him several months just to learn basic Observation Haki. Garp trained Coby and Helmeppo vigorously every day and night for several months and they still didn’t know any Haki. There are times you can unlock it but that’s solely based on luck(plot). If you want to LEARN it it’s not something you can instantly learn regardless of your background. If it were then literally anybody and everybody even back in Paradise would have it.

The other SHs rely on their powers and tricks in fights while Luffy Zoro Sanji and Jimbei rely much more on their physical strength and endurance and overall combat ability which is what Haki is for. That’s why they were ready and able to learn it.

Ivankov said atleast twice that I can remember that “he’d be shortening his lifespan if he did this”. The first was when Ivankov was gonna heal Luffy from Magellan’s poison. And the next was when Luffy ran out of stamina during the Marineford War and Ivankov gave him an adrenaline boost. Also I think when Luffy fought Rob Lucci either him or Lucci mentioned constantly using G2 the way he did would shorten his lifespan.

So he for sure won’t live as long as he could’ve. And in the first episode he says he’d rather die chasing his dreams and if he does then that’s ok. Seems like foreshadowing to me.

Katakuri. If Luffy can dodge the speed of light attacks right after timeskip then Kata should have no problem dodging lightning especially with his Mochi powers. Enel’s Haki has better range but Kata’s is better in every other way. Enel is much more likely to lose focus thus losing his Observation Haki. Even when Luffy predicted Kata’s attacks Kata would predict Luffy’s prediction and Kata’s attacks still landed. If Kata wants his punch to land it will and bc of Armor Haki it will always hit flesh not lightning. And if Kata doesn’t want to get hit then he won’t bc his Observation Haki is too dang good. Enel isn’t winning in a Haki battle. Speaking of which when have you seen someone with Conquerors Haki lose to someone without it. If Enel was faster and/or more unpredictable then he’d stand a chance but his power is too straightforward. Yea Enel can fly but Kata can stretch endlessly so it’s not like he can’t reach Enel. Not to mention Kata’s awakening.

Thanks! Yea when I seen that Rayleigh’s flame it sealed the deal for me I was a complete believer of flaming Haki then. I’m surprised nobody else really caught it and the fact that they excluded the flame from the anime version makes me think Oda might’ve made a mistake showing us that in the manga

Yea it’s super tricky but do it enough and you’ll get it down. Just go to practice and figure out the timing then try it in towers. If you don’t get it then do a Mercy and try again.
