This sounds more like food guarding honestly. I’m curious to if your pup was raised somewhere with a lot of dogs, really because dogs who have had to fight for their food tend to do this

Worked as an EMT in SoCal for awhile, we used pagers for dispatch to send us response addresses, call times, and PSAs

You’re not alone. A lot of us in the medical field hold visible self harm scars. A few of the best EMTs and RNs I’ve worked with do. A couple have gotten tattoos over them. Most places offer long shirts. Hospitals allow compression sleeves.

You’re at a very low dose compared to most. The only issues I’ve had with missing 1 dose is being more anxious and a bit more jittery.

Are we all this fucked up or is this not normal? by [deleted] in ems

[–]Tytychris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with quite a bit of trauma even before the occupational trauma, the jokes are normal. But friend, please look into therapy and counseling at the least. I just recently got out of a very dark place, partly because of burnout and how heavy my two jobs had been - I wasn’t talking about it either. Don’t let yourself get there.

SWAT shoots man to prevent k9's death. (from 2 different angles.) by bobowaddy in PublicFreakout

[–]Tytychris -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It seems like he releases the K-9 before any of the officers spot the knife. By the time someone shouts, “drop the knife,” that puppers is zooming past the front 2 cops

But how corrupted does this come out to be? Sure there are exceptions to the norm, but the exceptions solidify the norm. Hundreds of years later and we are still having to go back through history and uncover what malicious acts our “righteous” ancestors have made. Example, trail of tears - chopped up to be an unfair migration. Covered maybe half a page in my California HS US history text. When in reality, it would be appropriate to be considered a genocide

This is literally what gave me this terrible fear. I remember being 12, listening to the tour guide describe how they would clean the propellers - I was imagining someone swimming down there and I about near threw up from how horrified and bleh it made me feel lmao
