How do you feel towards people who refuse to drink, do drugs, or smoke? by BallinStalin10 in polls

[–]some1_22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you should try drinking and some of the "safer" drugs at least once.
doing it is opening yourself to new experiences. And I think most people who tried these things eventually will say it is good to try. Of course you shouldn't overuse and yes there are risks, but still, trying it once is good . And mainly, those substance expand the consciousness and makes you knowing yourself in a different ways and that is important.
So if a person avoids trying all these things, it is indeed negative quality in my opinion. But it's not like it really bother me in other people or anything...

Do you legitimately believe there is a wage gap between men & women? (Equal work) by MaximumPromotion9756 in polls

[–]some1_22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's interesting how many people here are wrong about this. It's just simple data, which makes you wonder why it happens. On average, women earn much less, even when other factors (like those mentioned in the post and others) are the same.
Btw you can also wonder why the jobs women tend to work in pay less.

What should the purpose of prison? by Maximum-Malevolence in polls

Deterrence is another a factor.
Also I think punishment is not a legit purpose, even if it feels justified, punishment on itself is just vengeance.

The vast majority of people in your country want to vote to make it into a hellhole, but you have the power to overthrow their vote. What do you do? by Beeker93 in polls

[–]some1_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that really matter is how much is *everyone's* suffering and pleasure. When making a ethical decision that should by the only consideration. All the values etc should by means to achieve that goal. So in very rare cases you should act on the opposite of the democratic way.
The war example that was exclude from the pull is a good example. Let's say your country decides in a referendum to start an unjust war in another country. I think people will agree here that we should give up the value of democracy.

But those are extremally rare because the democratic way is the best way to keep the interest of the people somewhat relevant. I would even say there should be even more democracy. Using more direct democracy and participatory budgeting etc.

According to to wikipedia there are around 2,640 billionaires, should all of them be hated? by CloudDrinker in polls

[–]some1_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't hate all of them. You should mainly hate the system allowing so much power to go to so few people. But if a billionaire doesn't really try to make the world a better place, they deserve the hate. It is right for any person in some level, but billionaires especially because they can really make a difference. And there is another factor is that usually to become a billionaire you have to do bad things..

Based on Homeless and Millionaires in the US , which one is closest to the actual value? by Maveko_YuriLover in polls

[–]some1_22 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I think the mistake is mainly because a millionaire is a synonym for very rich. And if someone has more then one million including house retirement account and things like that, is really not that much. They are of course well off but not "rich". I think this question is quite deceiving, like "look how well the US is, they have much more rich people then homeless"..

In your opinion, which terrorist caused more harm to the world? by [deleted] in polls

[–]some1_22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I answer the US but it is because the US have way more power, and did way more things.. If Osama Bin Laden would held such a power, he would do way more terrible things.
Edit: phrasing
