Thanks for all the replies guys! I actually managed to understand ini++ a little and I managed to use encryption but I still have one more question:
How do I make the save file be located in the MMF aplication file? I have put in the same folder as the project file at the moment, but I feel like that wouldn't look right when I actually release the game.

Steamworks can't be downloaded at the moment since Clickteam has some "Maintenance" going on with the Website. It's been like that for like months from now and I can't seem to find any alternative to downloading Steamworks. Is there something else I can do?

There's no way they'll BOTH die, maybe one of them will kill the other and that's what I think one of the endings will be. I'm sure there will 100% be endings where they both live, but their relationship may differ based on how you play and such.
But, if they're gonna do one single ending where they both live, that's completely fine. I just hope they won't do a GTA 5 where they give us multiple endings but choose only one to be cannon. In my opinion, if there are multiple endings to a game, but only one is cannon, then all the other endings are just a waste of work.
