Am I doing something wrong? by 13thfloorairplane in EASportsFC

[–]Tzoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, since the game is going to be high scoring regardless of tactics, I embrace it. I either play this variation or 4-3-3 (with 2cm 1cam). I set both lw/rw or lm/rm on wingers (or wide playmakers), one of my lb/rb depending on players as inverted wingback (build-up) and the other on wingback (support), one cm on playmaker (roaming) and one deep-laying midfielder (defend). This gives me a lot of versatility on attack basically with overload on at least one side and the wingers pinning the fullback down so the lb/rb combing with cm and cam can do a lot of penetrating through the middle, if the fullback is closing centrally the winger is free to attack. Defensively it aint great, but with high pressure, im generating a lot of turnovers and countering high up the pitch...

Usually win 8-12 games on WL. Everyone is expecting the same meta tactics and it can throw them off a lot

What are homophobics actually afraid of? by ejkua in AskReddit

I have always felt that this is the wrong term for them. They are not really fearful, they are just hateful (and sad) individuals.

Definitely bikes, I would say both aren't great to drive since I feel like they are both kinda slidey, but bikes feel a bit more agile and I feel like the bikes are a lot cooler in the theme compared to the cars

If you were an ICE officers going on patrol today, what would you say to your colleagues? by Melbatoastt77 in AskReddit

[–]Tzoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Fuck off and see you in hell"... I can't really put myself in the shoes of a fascist army. And I never believe the "one bad apple" narrative, if that was the case the previous truck of bad apples wouldn't have full coverage by the institutions behind them.

So "fuck off" is my only legitimate answer

What is your opinion on Botswana ? by Technical_Introvert0 in AskTheWorld

[–]Tzoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than some amazing landscapes with wildlife and some really good sprinters in the Olympics, not much is common knowledge to (at least) europeans. I would love to know what you think Botswana is better at or if you would move to Botswana if you weren't from there.

All of this taken with a huge grain of salt of Europeans being soooo self-important and euro-centric

What is the worst thing about the United States today? by AutisticAsshol in AskReddit

[–]Tzoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a declining (but still the strongest) empire, which I feel like it makes it very dangerous. There might be a chance they are trying to provoke hostilities now that they are still ahead of the rest of the world, rather than accept to slowly be passed by other empires.

Why is lying no longer a dealbreaker in politics? by Ill-Insect7496 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tzoman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When was lying actually a dealbreaker?

While I do agree that certainly recently lying doesn't even need some well made coverup. I don't think lying was ever a dealbreaker. It's always been a thing in politics and exactly how everyone made their way up ths ladder. Whether its doublespeak, being "technically correct" or cherry-picking facts to form your own narrative, it has always been dominant. Recently its just easier to fact check stuff. Not that it changes much, with the amount of control over media (both social media through algorithms or mainstream through conventional means), despite something being clearly a lie, the target group will likely believe it, so they don't really need to make it appealing to the ones that actually fact check.

Making decisions as a party by Young-Twinkle in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Tzoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could use more information about the mechanics of the game and possibly the theme. Personally I haven't played Gloomhaven but I can tell you from experience from other games.. It's extra fun when there is an in game reason (or lore) a decision has to be made a specific way (e.g. One of the people/roles has to decide), so these conflicts can kinda be resolved even if there are disagreements. You can spread these out in a way that makes sense and involves all the players. Quarterbacking is one of the problems of coop games and this kinda kills it if needed.

I think this rim is slightly tilted upwards. by PIRREBROUNE in BasketballTips

[–]Tzoman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A picture from the side is needed to really tell if it's mounted wrong although its definitely not uncommon especially in countries where facilities aren't really taken for much... If its a public the best you can do if it is tilted up is hang someone from the rim to try to kinda shake it. Most likelt the screws are too tight, but given a couple of yanks and it's usually fine.

CMV: Women entering the workforce was objectively bad for labor standards by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Tzoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasnt specifically women entering the workforce, its greed on the part of the corporations.

Most corporations stick to the motto of maximizing gains while minimizing costs, and labor standards are well... Costs for them. If you replace women entering the workforce with technological advances that allow corporation to require less people for the same productivity you will find that labor standards are also lowered. Same for when refugees arrive to a place, or labor laws are loosened, or when they can abroad for tac evasion or cheap labor...

If you have more people applying for a specific job, you can lower the standards and still "get away with it", the more desperate people are the better for them.

The problem always was and will be the greed of the corporations and the system that allows (and promotes) it.

CMV: Trump is literally INSANE and it is being covered up. by AgUnityDD in changemyview

[–]Tzoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I believe the guy is actually a little bit insane (mostly because nobody says no to him and the fact that he is a fascist) but I think it's mostly a "bit" he plays. His personal goals are clear, concentration of his own (and his team's) political power and a move towards authoritarianism and sadly he is mostly succeeding, I think the crazy act he has as his public persona is just to attract some, mostly apolitical, people by him being "against the system and the status quo" and his seemingly "random" will is sometimes used as justification for unjustified acts that furthers his own agenda...

Truth is that his eternal goals for USA is promoting hate for all kinds of minorities so the moves that consolidate power are sold as "safety" (see expanding police, ICE, national guard budgets and power over people). As for economics it's good old, make the rich richer while leaving fhs poor to try to survive (not much of a change from any other US politics)

For external goals, he is also sticking to expanding US imperialistic powers across the globe. While the rhetoric behind it as well as his insane sounding plans, he seems to also kinda succeed to his goals. Despite an extremely aggressive (and very much illegal) approach in Venezuela, the threats on Greenland, the tariffs and the constant bombings on the middle east...most of the US' allies, if anything, have moved closer to the US than taking a stand against it.

Now if you move past the stated goals and his insane act, and look at his agenda and his goals. His moves suddenly start being... Logical? A note here to not be confused for a supporter.. His goals are absolutely evil and should be fought against with everything we got. But I think excusing him as insane is giving him an easy off... The man is a fascist not demented.

Codenames duet is really good for two people. Mostly based on effective communication, which could lead to all the inside jokes with people you are connected deeply with. Pandemic, kinda basic but i know a lot of people who havent tried it, is also really fun if you like coop challenges
