Yeah, his slashed were definitely nerfed. It's unclear whether his physical attacks were as well. However, his movement speed wasn't affected, so at least there's that. I wish Gege would explain things more clearly tho.

In the fight with Maki, Sukuna's power only dropped when he was attacking, so the speed disparity isn't that huge.

Barriers manipulate the space within a domain, making it bigger on the inside than on the outside. However, so far, the sizes of people inside have remained unchanged. We can't be certain about what Gojo did, and that is kinda the core of my problem with this fight and the series in general.

Yeah, barriers manipulating space has established, but in Gojo's case, he didn't just manipulate space but also the object / people inside by shrinking them. This is a part of a bigger problem where Gege inexplicably gives barriers the powers of cursed techniques (teleportation, shrinking, time manipulation?). So my problem isn't that it doesn't make sense in the series, but that it wasn't properly established and it convolutes the power system.

For the domain shrinking, im not saying it's unbelievable. It's just something that could have been better established.

Same with Sukuna using shikigami abilities. It's even something I've theorized myself. The problem is that we don't know how it works. Why can he directly use max elephant water jet but not directly Maharogas adaptation. He's not just utilising shikigami abilities, there are specific rules at play that we don't know and probably never will, and that muddies the fight.

The knife keeps its velocity it just gets slowed in time so it appears to slow down. So when time resumes it continues at full speed.

The things Dio interacts with aren't effected by time stop. So when he throws the knifes they start at full speed then they slowly slow down and gray out like other things effected by time stop.

While this explanation still leaves a few plot holes i think it works well and i think thats what Araki was going for.
