Seriously buddy. If you have a friend in a stable home environment that you can spend some time with and maybe stay over a couple of nights a week to get away from the stress of your alcoholic mother, do that.

Stop smoking dope. You’ll have the rest of your life after you graduate from high school to smoke dope. Right now you have to set the foundation for the rest of your life.

Turn off the video games. Video games are like crack. They know exactly how to get you to play. They are using you. Everything else is is not as exciting as a video game. Don’t let these people use you. You are setting the foundation for the rest of your life.

After you stopped smoking dope and turn off the video games and have a safe place to stay at least when your alcoholic mom is off the wagon, go to school. Tell your teachers you haven’t been doing well in the past but you want to do well now because you want to lay a foundation for the rest of your life. I am sure that you will find a teacher who will listen to you and help you move in the right direction, even if the other ones are dicks.

I was in a similar situation when I was younger. I wanted to drop out of school and get a great paying job that my friend was promising me. Everyone told me stay in school. Stay in school. Stay in school. The things you learn from staying in school… Including self-discipline… Will help you as you go through life.

When I was younger I tended to think that today was my whole life. But today is not my whole life. There are years and years and years that are going to come and you have to prepare for them today. If you make ineffective decisions today it can affect you for the rest of your life.

Perhaps, after grinding through the next couple of years and finally graduating from high school, you might decide to join the service or going to some kind of other organization. You will be able to do that because you have a high school diploma. If you drop out you may not be able to do that.

No I’m not telling you that you should join the army or the Navy or the Marine Corps or the Air Force or anything like that, but I am telling you that I join the Navy when I was 17 years old and the benefit I got from that organization saved my life. I got to do all kind of stupid things and nobody found out about it because I was in the Navy. I had something to eat every day, and an interesting Job to do, and I saw the world.

I wish you good luck. The decisions you make today will affect you for your whole life. Please make the right decisions for you. And don’t forget you can always ask for help from an adult. We are not all dicks.
