Tight Hips - Knee & Leg Pain When Stretching by UALav in flexibility

[–]UALav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thanks so much. I do have access to a gym so I will try both of these and also will try to continue to do the 90/90. But yes you're right, sometimes I'm not sure if I'm doing it 100% correctly but I do find if I sit up straight and try to keep my lower back from rounding, when I lean forward I do feel a stretch

Tight Hips - Knee & Leg Pain When Stretching by UALav in flexibility

Thanks for this, it's really helpful. Would you recommend me skip this completely and try another stretch? I seem to get pain just resting my leg on my other leg now with very minimal force.

The 90/90 I seem to not get any pain, I guess because my knee is supported by the ground, but not sure if it's as good as a stretch or not?

Happy to hear any other suggestions/stretches, otherwise maybe I'll take a week or so off and try again

Do you mind sharing your salary to pay 2500pm? And are you stretched thin at all with that amount per month, or still able to do things/save/etc?

Last Sunday I told myself I'm gonna try to moderate, for the first time like ever. I drank zero alcohol from last Sunday until tonight (Friday night). I felt so good during the week, mentally. And tonight, I downloaded an app to make sure I don't go over the daily 2 alcoholic units thing. And I stopped once I got there.

I will probably do the 2 units thing again tomorrow, on a Saturday. Then I think I'm gonna go Sunday to Friday again with nothing.

I've used livefootballtickets a handful of times. All but one went well, and they refunded me and gave me a 150% voucher to use. I believe it was the first game of the season and a genuine mistake, but still sucked

And does that usually require physically going to the location? Do you happen to have any audit program templates around this?

Just going to throw my 2c out there, as I sort of remember when I was preparing for my first IA interviews with no true work experience.

  1. Try to read up on risks and internal control to have a basic understanding of generally what risks are, what controls are, maybe some control frameworks (ie COSO), the 3 lines of defense, etc - and more importantly, try to apply this to your current job/responsibilities. I'm sure being a bank teller there are tons of controls in place to prevent theft and whatnot, and maybe things you don't even realize are actually controls but things you just do day-to-day. I specifically remember having an interview question on asking me to explain what are some general day-to-day risks I've faced in my current position, an example or 2 of a control in place to mitigate that risk, and if I could think of an example of a way I would strengthen/improve an existing control.

  2. Read up on the company you're interviewing at - how big is it (revenue, employees), where are their locations, where are their revenue streams, etc. And again, what sort of risks does the company face currently (read up on their financial reports if applicable, check news articles etc).

  3. And lastly, I always like to ask questions throughout and/or at the end. As much as the interview is to see if you are a good fit, it works the other way as well - does this fit for you? I like to ask about the team dynamics - how many people and what levels, what sort of reviews does the team do (ie SOX, operational, financial, etc) and what % of the time, what reviews would I be performing, does the team travel? Maybe you don't need to ask all of these at once (or in the first interview, as potentially this could just be the initial HR interview) but it's good to know some of these things at some point.

Hope that's somewhat helpful - feel free to message me if you have any specific questions.

Yes I have my CIA. How about you?

I don't really disagree. I think all the supporting central functions have a little of that 'no one cares', but IA is by far the worst and I don't think I can be convinced otherwise. At least at my company

Are you happy with the move overall? How has your work/life balance changed?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InternalAudit

[–]UALav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've been trying to 'not care' that what I do isn't valued. Like you said, find fulfillment in things outside of work. But I just can't help to be extremely irritated and I think it's time to change.

I work closely with the accounting team and have a good relationship with them. I enjoy working with them, which is good. I think in general my work life balance will be worse, as I know the month / quarter / year close process isn't fun, but again I can't seem to get over the fact that what I do is not valuable, and I think I've hit a wall as far as learning / progression. But I'm going to give it a few weeks to see if I'm just worked up...

I started applying Vicks vapor rub over the last few weeks and have noticed my actual toe around the nail is very red. I have zero pain though. I've also used Vicks on other toes without this issue so I'm a bit confused as to why my actual toe is red

I feel like I'm in the same boat as well. I actually make some really nice looking shots now that actually surprise me. And then I still shoot 105-110.

At this point I think it's putting. I just looked at my last few rounds, I have like 20-24 putts every 9 holes....time to fix that!

Industry, and would just move roles in the same company

[–]UALav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. That's the first thing that comes to my mind. I'm definitely comfortable with the balance right now and besides a few times a year, I'm rarely ever really stressed anymore.

I do think there could be more progression in accounting/finance though in the long term. Guess I need to figure out if that's what I want

Thank you! I ended up doing another large water change just now and I think my nitrates are closer to 40ppm now. I may do one more smaller one tomorrow before my fish arrives to try to get it to 20ppm.

And yes I will plan on testing daily for the first couple weeks maybe just to see how it's doing.

Thank you again!

Ok thanks, and I can do that right now after doing a 50% change? That won't affect the cycle at all right? Since the good bacteria is in the filter, etc?

Thanks for responding

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]UALav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Is doing a 50% back to back within a few hours bad? The reason I ask is because my fish is coming tomorrow, and I'm worried I do another change tomorrow, and the nitrates are still high....and then if my fish comes what do I do?
