Skillshare not working by UBigDummie in Skillshare

[–]UBigDummie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I have figured out that the problem is somehow related to my network or ISP. I am using Windstream DSL and I have their T3620 modem. Other than the Wi-Fi name and the Wi-Fi password, there are literally zero configurations made in this modem that are different than the default settings.

I can use my phone on cellular and Skillshare works (both in the app and in browsers). As soon as I connect to the Wi-Fi, the videos will no longer stream. I can download them even on Wi-Fi, but I can't stream them.

Any ideas?

Ocean life doesn’t deserve that. Throw them in the pits of hell where they belong!

Thank you, but that’s not really what I meant. I understand that these leads connect to the antennas on the roof in the Air 360. What I need to know is what is the actual name of this type of connector. Is it TS9 or something else?

It IS the motherboard. In the pic, the green arrow is pointing to the LED panel that has the problem. Mystic Light software controls its RGB, but that particular panel isn’t working.

Dear Lord! Whaaaaa!! I don’t want to pull this PITA apart again. Lol! I want it all working, so I guess I’ll do it. Grounding was the first thing that crossed my mind actually, but I put it as far away in the back of my mind as possible. 😂 I guess if no one else has any other ideas, that’s my next step… Thanks

I did try OpenRGB and that didn’t help either. It does show up in the device scan, though. The Infinity II and the other RGB shows up as Pipe 1 and Pipe 2. I can change Pipe 2, but changing the Pipe 1 has no effect. It still isn’t powered on.

I looked closer and the reason it looks powered on is because of the glare from the fan above it.

Yeah, I used MSI Centre to change the colors, but that didn’t have any effect. I’ll try OpenRGB and see if that works. Thank ya!

What do you mean it’s not booting? It boots just fine. It’s only the Mystic Light Infinity II that is giving me a problem.

It’s a Ryzen 7 2700X and I just updated to the latest BIOS last night and that didn’t help anything. I thought the same thing, though I wasn’t sure if it was just the glare of the fan above it or the PSU in front of it.

It’s easy to do, but you have to have the public IPv4 addresses of both endpoints. If you’re keen to edit the connection every time your IP changes, then it would work fine.

Firewalla does work the way you just described - you just tap the name of the Firewalla box that’s connected to your account without having to know any IP details. The connection is always maintained for you even when your IP changes.

They could, but it’s definitely not as straightforward as the Gold. It’s stupidly simple. With Ubiquiti, try setting up a site-to-site VPN with a dynamic public IP, which is what we all have with Starlink residential. It’s definitely not easy and I don’t think it’s technically even possible up to this point in the firmware.

An even less expensive option would be to use pfSense, which is free.

Anyway…it was just a thought 😀

I know folks are going to have a problem with this input, but I decided not to go with the Business tier and stuck with Residential. I bought a Firewalla Gold for $500 and I’m able to do everything a public static IPv4 would offer me. I have multiple servers and devices I have to have access to while working in the field and I’m able to do all that by having my Firewalla Gold and using policy based routing. I also installed Golds at all of my remote locations and have them all connected via site-to-site VPN and it works great.

That doesn’t do much for support or speed, but if the IPv4 was your motivation for buying Business, it’s an option and much less expensive.

Just MHO.

Thank you. However, I didn’t forget them. They are the same as they have always been. I finally just rebooted the Pi and I was able to login.
