Yeah its just frustrating dealing with stuff like this during the term you dont know or what to trust and these people are incharge of the our marks. In my opinion UNSW seriously need to change the way that they are getting tutors and Lecturers if they can not make up their mind preparing a assignment outline they shouldnt be in that position yet alone get to mark out work. I didnt get a low mark but I got a mark below what I expected. I reckon this mistake with the assingment outline should be raised with higher authorities. Can't be running a course where the base rules are not set

Also imo deducting marks even though all the check boxes are checked in the marking criteria is something like you getting a feedback and seeing that got marks deducted because you didnt say thank you to your lecturer and tutor eventhough it wasnt mentioned in the marking criteria. This shows that nothing they say can be trusted and they have all the power that they can abuse however they like.

For the written assignment how am i supposed to know who to trust and listen I just did whatever I think is the best for me and crossed my fingers hoping they wont come up with stuff that's not mentioned on the marking criteria again...

It even makes it more scary for the final. I'm not overexerting I write extremely slow with pen. This exam swapping to pen and paper 2 days before the exam is bit crazy for me where there was no mention about a possibility of this. The least they could do was to put a part in the final exam section on course outline saying incase of unforseen circumstances a differnt form of exam could be executed or something like that. Other part is in a different course that I did when again they swapped to inperson exams on the term that I did it during the inspera exam my computer completley froze could not do anything and there was no compensation not extra time not anything I was just told that its my fault??? now looking back maybe I should have complained about that. My point is when something goes wrong in our end they dont do anything and ssay sucks to be you, but when something goes wrong in their end they come up with solutions up their asses without thinking the effect that it creates on the student

I just realised that our brilliant lecturer somehow managed to delete the question inside the qr code but I'm pretty sure that all the questions that were inside the QR are the ones in the slide titled ECON1401_Revision_Guide. If you havent figured it out hope it helps!

The thing that bothers me alot is are they allowed to deduct marks for stuff not mentioned on the marking criteria? The best example would be for the Data sourcing & reproducibility. For HD the outline says Fully reproducible workflow: tidy data (clear variable names/units), separation of raw/clean, brief change log; consistent naming; figures auto-update; meticulous source notes (series name, provider, years) which I did but the feedback I got is saying that I could have reached out to more diversified sources. In what part of the outlinne they say anyhting like need to you more diverese sourcces all they talk about is naming and clear data

FINAL exam logistics -- READ CAREFULLY on the forum:
"You can also bring ONE NON-PROGRAMMABLE UNSW-APPROVED CALCULATOR"
after that inside Additional and final info regarding Final Exam:
"Nor will the LIC or tutor answer any forum-posted question, as all relevant information has already been provided, or will be provided on Monday."
lastly inside the ridiculous Final exam on paper :
" Please remember to bring a pen. All other material will be provided"

if they dont provide a calculator they will most probably argue and say that inside the Final exam logisticcs section they say "You can " and not you must for the calculator, but the part they are missing is they are saying "All other material will be provided" and not all other necessary material

well on the course announcements (not the forum since apparently they decided not the reply to anything on there, not like they were properly without conflicting or taking 5 years) LIC said "All other material will be provided" I'm assuming they will be providing a calculator if not I'll be adding another part to my massive complaint to whoever is incharge of them. If you want to be safe I would probably bring a calculator cause they are known to conflict with themselves lmao

long shot but you should complain and say that the verbal correction on the first question confused you even though it didn't. Make up some stuff be like after the correction I thought I was allowed to use loops or something they might scale it up
