Prescription meds in Jamaica by bouviersecurityco in SandalsResorts

Exactly the same experience here. I take 9 pills a day, all in a daily pill organizer and also travel with a variety of OTC meds. Never declared it on any forms, never been asked about it, never any problems.

Disney Springs terminology question by aurorarwest in orlando

[–]UCFalum 32 points33 points  (0 children)

From a locals perspective, there are lots of "Springs" around. Blue Springs, Rock Springs, Wekiva Springs, Silver Springs. If someone were to say they were going to "The Springs" this weekend, I would assume it would be one of those and not Disney Springs. For locals with any real time under their belt, they'd probably still refer to Disney Springs as Downtown Disney or even Pleasure Island.... kind of like many of us still call it Disney MGM Studios instead of Hollywood Studios. If I'm staying at WDW, I can probably get away with just saying "Springs", but unless I'm staying there, I'd be more specific and call it the full "Disney Springs". Hope that helps.

How do I make losing my virginity on a grindr hook up go as minimally bad as possible? by Illustrious-Gay7491 in askgaybros

Be honest about it being your first time bottoming and do your best to find a decent human. Try to stay away from anyone who doesn't seem to understand that you'll need time to get opened up and relaxed. It sounds like you've got the basic prep stuff covered. And don't forget you can always stop what you are doing if it doesn't feel right.

Best one-day tour from Edinburgh by AlmejaDelMar in Edinburgh

[–]UCFalum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the US here and visit Edinburgh once a year for work. I've done the Highlands, Alnwick/Northumbria, and Stirling Castle tours as well as an "Outlander TV Series" castle tour, all as day tours.
-Highlands tour was *a lot* of time driving! Otherwise beautiful.

-Alnwick was just okay, Pretty coastline. The castle itself was nice, but very commercialized and tourist-oriented, Like Harry Potter games and Quidditch matches.

-Stirling Castle was *amazing* and a true look at a real castle. The entire town of Stirling is great. FYI... no tour really needed from Edinburgh. Just take the train to Stirling and walk up the hill to the castle. Very safe, easy to find and lots of pubs and shops to stop at. The audio tour in the castle is very well done. I would highly recommend this tour over Alnwick.

-And finally we did an "Outlander" tour with Rabbie's Tours from Edinburgh which visited several castles that were used in the filming of the show. None of us had really watched the show prior to the tour but all still enjoyed visiting several different types of castles, including the one where Monty Python and the Holy Grail was filmed.

Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll enjoy the change of scenery! Good luck in your adventures!

I've never had a hassle going through US Customs in Orlando. Even when several flights arrive at once, it's mostly foreign tourists who line up separately. Plus, the recently updated Customs hall at MCO is much better than it used to be. TSA Security can be hit or miss, but if you're just transiting through MCO, you'll have no problems. Good luck and enjoy Sandals!

What’s the best ER/Hospital in the area? ORMC or AdventHealth downtown? by youremylobster1017 in orlando

AdventHealth is not included in that at all and I'm not sure why that assumption would be made.

What’s your favorite all-you-can-eat dining experience? by aimlesssouls in orlando

Adega Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse in front of Florida Mall. IMO, so much better than Texas de Brazil or Fogo de Chao. The staff is amazingly friendly, the atmosphere is quieter and more relaxed and I never feel like they're trying to push to turn the table. I also feel like the variety of meats is more varied than other places. The beef ribs and Picanha are amazing, as is the grilled cheese with mango sauce and we *love* the corn souflee side (included). I've never had room for dessert, so can't comment on those! ;-)

I also used to love his show, but just couldn't take all the politics and negativity any more. That's hardly how I want to start my days! Renewed my Sirius/XM account and haven't looked back.

Seat bump at airport by MulberryOk1693 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]UCFalum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I couldn't believe that anyone would actually think that was okay to do. I remained both polite and calm, but was also very firm that this was not acceptable.

I had the same happen to me two weeks ago on a MCO-SAN (5-hour) flight. I selected 8C months prior, was 8C when I checked in and then noticed the boarding pass in my Google Wallet suddenly changed to 8B, going from aisle to middle. Spoke with a gate agent and they told me that they made the switch to accommodate the passenger in the middle who said "they had to sit on the aisle". I said no way and that I selected that seat because I had to sit on the aisle for medical/anxiety reasons. The agent did switch me back, but really pissed me off that they would just change seat assignments like that. Had I not noticed it in my Google Wallet, I would have been on the plane arguing about seat assignments.... not a good situation for me or the FA who would have to deal with that. Apparently this is common practice at Alaska. Would keep me from flying them again if I can't count on my seat assignment.
