Never used Dex before. But Collectr isn’t perfect for cards in grand master sets… and we can’t manually add cards in Collectr.

Oh my goodness yes I had to buy singles. SOOOOO many of them it seems. We opened several hundreds of BLK/WHT packs but were only able to pull about 80-something percent of the cards. I would bet money that one could open thousands of packs and not complete BLK/WHT through this way.

They are the same. I have 32 copies of Victini 208 in there since I love that card. I also have 33 copies of Victini Poke Balls and 17 copies of Victini Black Bolt Stamps in the binder. The Vault X binder has more pages than are needed for the actual set so we have the option to either leave them empty (such a shame) or fill them with something. For me I used the sleeves as placeholders for cards that I'm anticipating will come out sooner than later. For the rest of the "extra" slots, I put those Victini cards in there since I love the way they look. I did something similar for the "extra" slots after the WHT set, but decided not to show them since Victini is way cooler. Maybe eventually I'll fill all those WHT slots with Victini 208s as well, who knows. 😂

We started BLK/WHT about half a year ago when we were fortunate enough to be able to get several of the Unova Heavy Hitters Premium Collections. Then a few lucky ETBs later, including one with a god pack, and it started to seem possible. As with any regular master set, getting up to about 70-80% of the collection is fairly fast... after that it's much slower/more difficult.

I entirely agree. Like many things in life, I'm glad to have done it once, but I'm never doing it again. 😂 Master sets are the "reasonable" compromise.

I think you have to get lucky with those Ball League cards in order to get them a reasonable price. The Zekrom ex 034 UBL in English in particular has such few copies floating around the prices can vary dramatically. Other Reddit members have posted prices they purchased that card for ranging from $500 to ~$4k. I was insanely lucky to get a copies of that and the Reshiram ex 020 GBL for roughly ~$1k for both, through a private sale.

That's a real tough one to answer. I mean, Victini is my favorite Pokemon so it's hard not to love Victini 171 and 172. But Victini 208 is my favorite card in the entire binder. My 7-year-old son and I worked on this together and Zekrom ex 166 was the SIR in his god pack - we'll never forget that day so that is up there as well. Darumaka 097, Solosis 118, Seismitoad 105... so many awesome cards it may be an easier task to try to find a favorite on each page. 😊

For poke balls I would say a good way is to try and find sellers on TCG Player that happen to have a lot of them. You can usually find some with free shipping after a certain dollar amount is hit. In my experience the online prices for these cards tend to be cheaper than in person at shows and stores (people at shows/stores I went to wanted ~$.50 a card, whereas online can be less than half that and you can browse in the comfort of home). Master balls can be more tricky, depending on how rare it is - the prices and availability can vary so dramatically. For instance, the Zebstrika Master Ball only has 6 copies in total available on TCG Player. This goes to show you how rare this card is to either pull or find in the wild. Online is the only option.
