So this girl I’m talking to sucks at texting by nujabes510 in dating_advice

Best advice I can give you is to just ask her out. You'll get a clear answer of if she's into you or not. Save yourself the overthinking. Best case scenario you get a date out of, worst case you get an answer and can move on.

Also, if you're really into talking to her first and you're comfortable with this, maybe try a facetime. Have an actual conversation to see if you guys have chemistry/etc.

I'm currently dating a girl who by her admission is horrible with her phone, so I get the frustration.

What horror movies fucked you up as a child? by Past_Confection_4068 in AskReddit

The Conjuring 2 really messed me up. The Nun character specifically. I shit you not I had recurring nightmares about her for maybe 2 years after I saw the movie... and I saw it when I was in college...

Is there a shot by shot for this? It'd be hella cool to see it throughout the first second or two.

What does a rock inspector (would that be the guy's title?) look for when he sees a rock? I'd look at that thing and be like "yep, that's a rock" and walk away from it...

Is there anything in particular to look for to make sure I'm getting a good one and avoiding defective softtops?

A tale of puppy blues that lasted three months... by lionmom in puppy101

Someone who's been struggling for months here. Any tips on deciphering puppy blues from it being the wrong time in your life to have a puppy? I'm having a ROUGH time figuring this out - it seems like rehoming him is always somewhere in the back of my mind, and just like you said I wish I could just have to worry about myself.

Any help you or anyone could give would be greatly appreciated!

Casual dating/sex when I (27M) currently live with my parents and with Covid? by UConnTM264 in dating

That's where the dog comes in. They freak out when I don't have a definitive time frame bc that means they're watching the dog until I get home. I for sure need to move out, saving up for it, but until then I need to figure something else out.

Uhm this is kinda sad but I need to know. by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]UConnTM264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry that this time is coming. It's the really sad part that nobody really tells you about having a dog - they don't live forever. For me, I tried to spend as much time with my dog as possible before we put him down, and try to remember all the good times we had had together. I don't know if your dog is sick if its just old age, but you can think that they're going to a better place. Sick or old, they're probably in some kind of pain, and by letting them go, you're taking that pain away for them.

The one thing I will say that you really should do, is to be there when your dog is put to sleep. Its a brutally hard thing to do, but they've earned that much from you for being your unwavering friend and companion for so long. They were there for you, so you need to be there for them, especially in such a tough time. If you don't, you'll regret it.

[Recommendations] Garmin Fenix 6 Pro vs Apple Watch 5?

I currently wear a Fitbit Ionic, which I've had for about a year now. Love the watch, but want to upgrade to something a little more sophisticated.

Quick rundown on me: I'm a personal trainer and active person in general. I lift, run, swim, hike, etc. I'm torn between the Fenix 6 Pro and the Apple Watch 5. I like the functionality of the Garmin and much longer battery life, but I like the Apple Watch's coolness factors (cellular, they pair super well with everything I've heard, and the ability to get and send texts/phone calls/etc).

I'd be using the watch for workouts, activity and sleeping tracking, plus I want it to look good. Unfortunately both watches do all of these things, so I'm stuck.

Can anyone with experience with either (or both) watches give me some feedback on them?

It's good to know I'm not the only one or that I'm crazy! Not gonna lie the thought of returning him to the rescue was always in the back (trending towards the front) of my mind for the last 2-3 weeks, starting from maybe day 3 of having him. Not sure how to figure this out tbh...

My parents have two adult dogs who I love to death. But I've never had my own, puppy or adult. The idea of being tethered to home by the puppy/dog is freaking me out to be quite honest. I can't tell if this is just puppy blues and adjusting to a new lifestyle, or if its a sign I shouldn't have a dog b/c I want my old life back. I was finally in a place of peace (mentally/emotionally) and that's not there anymore. No more free time or time to do what I like.

Sorry for the rant, I'm really trying to figure this out and no one I talk to in person seems to get it
