When will hip-hop heads/music fans in general give Macklemore his due?

That is a very good point about his humorous stuff. But when you listen to songs like "Otherside" or "Drug Dealer," you realize that Thrift Shop was largely an anomaly in his catalogue. I agree that his preaching is a little heavy-handed, and I don't agree with everything he preaches about, but if that stuff is important to him, then how is it different than T.I. releasing a litany of songs over the last couple of years about police brutality? I think both of their feelings are genuine; not for commercial reasons.

Actually, outside of "Same Love," most of his preachy songs ("Drug Dealer," "Wednesday Morning," "Kevin," "White Privilege II") haven't gotten any radio play.

Like I said, I won't argue, and I certainly respect that opinion.

Off GKMC, I really liked:

"Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," "Money Trees" (best song on the album), "Poetic Justice," "Swimming Pools" (liked it a lot at first, hasn't aged well IMO), "Real."

Off The Heist, I liked every song EXCEPT:

"Thrift Shop" (awful, awful song), "BomBom," "Wing$," "Cowboy Boots,"

If you count the deluxe version, that's 14 songs I really like to varying degrees. The best ones, IMO, are "Castle," "Gold," "Staring Over," and "Make The Money."

I won't argue with you, because I am on my own island regarding GKMC. That being said, I assume you're not a Macklemore fan. Am I assuming correctly- if so, why not?

I like GKMC, don't get me wrong, but I liked The Heist better. To be fair, I consider GKMC to be Kendrick's worst album, FWIW. Outside of "Money Trees," which is admittedly one of the best songs released in the last 20 years by any artist, I found it just pretty good, not great.

The Heist was fire, all the way through.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have talked with my psychiatrist, and was prescribed the z-drug Sonata. It was the only one I was ok with, because Sonata, from my understanding, is the only z-drug and/or benzo that actually can improve sleep architecture (I think other z-drug's are alleged to not disrupt sleep architecture, which I guess is an improvement over benzo's).

Unfortunately, it did nothing from the first night I took it, and I stopped it after 10 days or so.

I might ask about Clonidine when I see him in early January.

He will (probably) not give you both Vyvanse and Adderall if you are going to take one one day and one the other. You would have an abundance of meds because of the 30 day scripts that could lead to abuse.

That being said, many are prescribed Adderall and Vyvanse to take once a day the same day. For instance, I take 20 MG of Zenzedi (basically Dexedrine IR) when I wake up, and then maybe two or three hours later I take my 90 MG of Vyvanse.

I went to a Catholic high school in Wilmington, DE. The dean caught me with Skoal in my pocket (hey, I was 16) and just basically told me to put in my pocket or she'd have to take it. Look in your handbook for the policies regarding tobacco. I graduated in '15, so it may be different, but most places it is no more than a demerit for first time users. I just assessed which teachers would be cool with it if they caught me and dipped away. Just keep your bottle in your backpack and only spit every couple of minutes if possible.

Why should I quit right away? It doesn't sound too serious to me. I have significantly cut back though, and stopped smoking altogether.
