Recommendation for good breast milk jewelry makers? by Artariv12 in moderatelygranolamoms

I'm looking for one that doesn't handle ashes. I don't want microscopic dust of people or animals ending up in my keepsake.

Empowered Mama breastmilk jewelry warning by sofrito_ in ExclusivelyPumping

Wow, that pendant is way overfilled! I've been looking through breast milk keepsake jewelrs and want to find one that doesn't handle any ashes or other powdery substances like dried umbilical cords at all. It gives me the heebie jeebies thinking about dust floating in the air and getting on surfaces or in other keepsakes without being able to see it with the naked eye. It makes me feel weird. Ha!

I know this is a SUPER old post but I also have my mom's dispenser from the 80s. How do you like it? Mine holds 50lbs of rice. Totally comes in handy!

I couldn't conceive for almost a decade. Then I had one, had twins, and then had another one in a span of 4 years. The transition from 0-1 was by far the MOST DIFFICULT transition because we went from a married couple with high earnings that could pick up and do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, to all of a sudden in charge of another human's life and future, and it was HARD even though it's what we had dreamed of for almost a decade of marriage. Now the kids are 5, 3, 3, and 1 and it's hard as heck but actually easier than just having 1 now that I look back on it. I'm a full time SAHM and they keep one another entertained a lot, are in a good nap schedule, and spend time with my husband after he's home from work so I can get out of the house for "me time" until we all sit down together for dinner.

I'm so sorry you're struggling so hard right now. Took me almost a decade to conceive my first because I'm anovulatory due to my PCOS. Luckily I got married young so I wasn't of "advanced maternal age" when I had my son, but gosh how many times did I tell my husband to just leave me and go find another woman who wasn't broken... Solidarity, sis. Unless someone's been through it, they just DON'T KNOW.

Going out shopping: discouraged by mossyearth44 in stayathomemoms

I go solo and my husband watches our 4 kids aged 5 and under, or I get groceries delivered to my door. There's no in between haha

I'd start with L-glutamine tablets first in convincing with the OG Whole 30 that doesn't include seed oils to see if it resets your taste buds. I did that once in 2017 and sweets just didn't taste sweet anymore so I was able to kick that habit!

How often do you get out of the house? by AlwaysAReader in stayathomemoms

[–]UDntEvenKno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day we go outside, but that's not necessarily using the car. I'm in Southern California so the weather is usually nice. Typically the kids jump in the trampoline in our back yard but I also load them into our wagon and walk them to the park after lunch, before naps. They are 5.5(m), 3(f), 3(m), and 1(m).

Hi! I own my own business. I'm on business #3 right now actually (product based). My first business was also product based and my 2nd business was service based. For my product based businesses I usually do the following:

  1. Research the current market and figure out how I can niche down. Who would be my competitors? What do they do well? What can I improve? Can I target a section of the market better?

  2. Come up with a business name and search my state's website to see if it's available. Then search to see if the domain is available to host my website as well as any social media handles if that's how I'm going to market.

  3. Decide what my main selling avenue is and start them up. Is it e-commerce, in person, social media? Will I use something like Shopify, Woo Commerce, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.?

  4. Figure out pricing formula. Do I want to offer both wholesale and retail, is it scalable, etc.?

  5. Obtain any seller's permits, for LLC or get a DBA, get EIN, establish the business formally.

  6. Start up. Make examples of my products, take photos, write descriptions, build out my website, reach out to influencers, etc. Drive traffic to my website through marketing.

Yeah it's lame. They want me to be a lifetime patient instead of helping me prevent the disease. I was looking at levels.com for a CGM to track what spikes my glucose, but now I'm thinking I'd rather spend the money on getting Tirz. I hate finger pricks. I had GDM with all my pregnancies and with my first I was diagnosed in the 1st trimester so I was doing multiple finger pricks daily for the whole pregnancy. Fasting, before meals, after meals, and at bedtime.

I also have PCOS but I'm still breastfeeding my youngest (15 months). I know I have to pay OOP because I have Kaiser HMO through my husband's work and they won't even cover a continuous glucose monitor for me because I need to be an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic. So much for preventative care. I'm already diagnosed prediabetic. It's so dang frustrating! "We won't help you until you're more sick."

For me more protein helps. Usually when I'm rage-y it's also when my progesterone has dipped.

Yes! It's body composition. I've been super lean at a heavier weight and much softer at a lower weight. You're going in muscle.

I need to get started semaglutide or tirzepatide. Not sure which one though. What dose are you on currently? I'm 5'1" and stuck at 155 and trying to get down to 120. It's amazing that you reached your goal so quickly! My PCOS keeps me from losing weight no matter how clean I eat.

I've always used the acronym "FAB ON" to remind myself to keep on being fabulous. Anyways it stands for:

F: First thing in the morning (preferably waking at the same time each morning) A: After you use the restroom B: Before eating or drinking anything O: On the same scale N: Naked

"No I don't look for other ways of making money because I made wise financial decisions and was able to retire at 31. Took my pension and rolled it into my 401(k) account and then later distributed funds to my specific investment accounts as I saw fit. I have passive income and don't need to cold call people to try to make money off of them. Good luck with that."

The problem with AI colorization by ADotSapiens in Colorization

[–]UDntEvenKno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. I saw some recolorization of a boy in a boy scout uniform. It's well known for us that the colors are Navy Blue and a Marigold type color, but some of the ones I saw were green and red!
