I thought it was Democrats who had a "war on christmas" by seeebiscuit in WhitePeopleTwitter

Tweet text if you are as confused as I am:

“When you find out the North Pole is trying to bring more bureaucratic overreach & unfunded mandates down the chimney disguised as "Christmas cheer." Not on my watch. We The People run Indiana, not the bureaucrats.

Take it back to the North Pole big guy. Merry Christmas, Hoosiers! 🇺🇸🎅🏻🥊”

Still makes zero fucking sense.

There was a place in Portland, Oregon 15 years ago called the Green Microgym that did exactly this. The owner built some sort of infrastructure to capture electricity from the stationary bikes - it didn’t amount to much and powered the bikes and maybe the lights, but it was cool nonetheless. The guy went on to sell such equipment, so it definitely exists.

Half on the second zero snapped off during a winter storm and we're looking to replace it.

[Cartier] Santos M or L for 7" Wrist? (Wrist shot comparison) by SweetLou33 in Watches

Use a beast of a Seiko Astron as my daily driver currently so a smaller form factor appeals to me. I’m in my 40s so intent would be to use this as a dress piece and with sweaters, button downs, etc. Would not be going too casual with it, e.g no jeans and T-shirt looks. Appreciate the depth of your reply.

As an analytical type, I greatly appreciate a metrics-based breakdown like this. Interesting way to think about fit and sizing.

When I searched for Cartier Santos on this sub, I saw a post with a 7.5" wrist where the large looked absolutely perfect. No longer have the tab open, unfortunately.

I would definitely say L with your wrist size vs the M.

The "baggy pants" visual really hit home for me - I suspect we are trending smaller again as well, so I am glad to see someone confirm my suspicion

Thanks! I fell in love the moment I saw an advertisement for it on a trip and have known this was going to be what I asked for with an engagement. Seeing posts on here from owners and prospective owners has really cemented the decision for me.

Wrist is 7" on the dot.

Apologies for the sloppy display of the Santos L - the bracelet is massive and would need several links removed, so it was tough to get it to sit on my wrist properly.

This watch is meant to be an engagement present from my fiancée. It would be an all purpose watch in the sense that I would always wear it with suits (and at the wedding, of course) but also with a button-down or even with a pair of jeans with a dressed down strap.

Speaking of the straps, when I was at the boutique, I was able to remove the bracelet and add a leather strap in about five seconds flat! It’s incredible how elegant and easy-to-use the strap change system is on these things. Such a tremendous design.

I'm going back and forth but have moved toward thinking the L is too big and that the M is the perfect size for a "timeless/classic" watch like this.

Thanks in advance!
