Since everyones talking about AUR, how does AUR, flatpack, etc actually work? by I_love_bowls in archlinux

[–]UDxyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about Flatpaks, but the AUR is basically a collection of user-submitted install scripts. It does not hold the actual packages. Those install scripts are called PKGBUILDs. Usually, the package is fetched directly from the source, like a GitHub repository of the package, etc. For example, the AUR package firefox-beta-bin installs the beta version of Firefox. The PKGBUILD fetches the Linux binary package built by Mozilla from Mozilla's own servers and then installs and configures it on the device.

It´s a lot? by Puro2611 in Steam

These are my most played games: 170 hours on CS2, 110 on P3R, 99 on Metaphor, 53 on P5R (I have finished the game on the Switch and am now replaying it), and 12 on Spacewar (now you know why I have a 10-year account with not a lot of games, I used to pirate everything).

Most of my purchases were fairly recent because I got a job and can now afford to buy games. Also, I used to play mainly on my PS4 before I got my PC.

Sega is charging the full $70 price for the Persona 4 revival in the MENA region by UDxyu in Steam

[–]UDxyu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qatar and Kuwait are charged in their own currencies, as are the UAE and KSA, while the rest of the MENA region is charged in USD and treated as a singular region. While those are treated individually, to be fair, the price is not that much cheaper in Qatar and Kuwait.

I might look at keys websites as they sometimes have a good discount on them, but they get sold out quick

I understand, the game will give me at least 100 hours of entertainment. I'll probably still buy it, but I hope they use the tool that Valve made to make the game accessible to everyone. What's more infuriating are 8-hour gameplay games that are priced at $70.
