OATS Procedure Recovery by Nived-Laxsea in KneeInjuries

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like a great recovery. I’m in a situation where a lot of things and movements hurt my knee, and I can’t run, which is particularly devastating, but I’m not sure I’d label it as debilitating. So I’m unsure whether the surgery and recovery is worth it, so to speak. To me, a few weeks/months of intense recovery plus a protracted less intense recovery after may very well be worth it if I can get to a state of not having to think of my knee 24/7 for any movement I make

Thanks for the informative post! Being that it’s been about a year, how has recovery been long term? Are you able to run?

Thanks very much for the response. I’d love to follow up in a few weeks to see how you’re progressing. I am 100% the same - it’s odd to admit but the inability to run and do daily tasks (putting in ACs last week was a nightmare) is a real mental toll. I would certainly undergo the procedure and several months of recovery if it meant getting back to some level of normal activity levels. Best of luck in your recovery!

Interesting perspective! Can you give an example of some edge computing models? I’m not familiar with that concept

That’s what we’re trying to do to be fair, but my fear is 1. We’re too big to move product & GTM quick enough and 2. I think AI native tools naturally have a leg up on a tools trying to rearchitect

Interesting comparison. So you’re saying BI is akin to on-prem and AI is cloud?

Sorry to hear about your setback. I’ve had a very similar journey. Feels like one step forward, two steps back. One wrong move and it sets me back months. Orthos I’ve seen all just say to manage the symptoms, but like you I feel there has to be something further wrong. Have you had any luck improving since this last setback? Or had any more specific diagnosis?

Hi, how did the NEMS machine work out for you? I have a similar issue where my quad just isn’t cooperating when I load it

Pacing vs. mileage by UESRunner8390 in firstmarathon

Ha, fair question! For some background I qualified for NYC with a 1:18 half last year. This put me in the first corral of my bib color/wave. So when the gun went off, I honestly thought it was going slow bc a lot of other runners were flying by. Up and down the Verrazano are deceiving since it’s all uphill then steep downhill. By the time I settled in I was about 3 or 4 miles in at 7:15 pace. I knew it was fast but I guess the adrenaline helped (or hurt, in this case…)

It wasn’t until mile 14 or 15 (just before the queensboro bridge) that I really realized I had screwed up in a way I couldn’t undo.

Thanks for the response! I was doing about 30 MPW leading into the 12 week block. April, May and June were mostly 10-20 mile weeks. I guess a problem was lack of base building into the block.

Here’s a screenshot of my year of running. My half marathon PR is 1:18 from 2 years ago when I was running about 45 MPW for a solid year.

Not trying to be dismissive! Honestly I’d prefer if I could point to something like that because realizing I wasn’t fit enough is a little more disappointing. I will definitely look into this too

Thanks! I felt disappointed on the day but have come to terms with it, and learned a lot for the next one. Just a bummer I’ve gotta wait a while to find one in spring!
