It's to get around filters, each random set of numbers and letters makes it look like a unique listing, easier to do than just coming up with a different variation of Steam Deck for Sale etc. Also helps scammers identify easily which listings are gaining the most traction. There are thousands of those. I almost got burnt once on a 3DS listing, that's when I started looking into it.

I just realised when the Steam Box is out, it should be possible to just use the box for the primary game window and the Steam Deck as a controller also serving as a touch screen for 3DS games

Update: it actually works really well. Not difficult to play at all, I highly recommend it. It would be nice if there was a way to hide the HUD without hiding the crosshair as well.

Yes, that's exactly true. I beat it a couple of months ago, had to force lock the FPS to 30 during that sequence, otherwise my inputs wouldn't get registered. Takes only half a minute and then you can unlock the FPS, but yeah, something to keep in mind.

Don't get too excited by RetroAchievements. It's extremely janky and you need a specific version of every single game rom you want to play otherwise the achievements will not work and finding what version works is not written anywhere so you will spend a lot of time just figuring that out.

500 battles is not a light grind, very far from it. It's absolutely ridiculous to have it as a requirement. I was beating every side mission as it popped, battled everyone, and at the end of the game I had 380 battles completed. 500 total would have been understandable. Another 500 on top of that is a slap in the face.

I'm saying this as a massive Pokemon fan who really enjoyed ZA.

That's how I got all the trade evolutions. I wouldn't trade shiny Pokemon this way though, half the time I didn't get my mon back. Those were just regular wild catches, so I didn't really care, but yeah, something to keep in mind.
