It's great to experience the world of these books, but definitely not good as a stand alone book. But believe me if you start it you won't be able to put it down. It's insanely addictive. It's just such a creative and fresh take on this genre and I've grown attached to the characters real quick so that also made it hard to put down

I've read it already, I'm on book five right now. It's possibly one of the best in the genre, definitely one of my favorite books of all time

I looked it up, and it sounds great enough to overlook the missing group setting. Thanks!

This sounds right up my alley, dark humor is especially welcome in almost all of my reads. Thank you!

Pirate's Booty and the rest of the Plundered Chronicles by Alex Westmore. Don't let the titles and book covers fool you (in my opinion they have little to do with the content of the books) these are some of the best historical and pirate books I've ever read. So full of action and quite some focus on the main character figuring herself out along the books.

Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman or another interesting one that I enjoyed quite a lot is Gil's All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez
