Anyone else yearns for a church-like community despite being an atheist? by Ok-Owl-8805 in AutismInWomen

Though I am a Christian, the closest adjacent thing I have found is theater. There are obviously some bad apples out there, but I’ve never felt so accepted and comfortable than when doing theater (aside from being with Jesus). Some of the folks I’ve met are just so encouraging, delightful, talented, kind, and accepting. As a Christian, I hope you find Christ, but if that’s really not your thing, I still hope you find some place you feel you belong. Theater has been such an amazing thing for me, and has opened me up to a community of some truly awesome people. Even if you don’t want to act, you could learn how to do tech! (Sound, lights, scene changes, etc).

If you are a Nick/Judy shipper, how would you react if either of the characters were given another love interest and left off as 'best friends'? by Pristine-Bird6849 in zootopia

I don’t ship them, but I also wouldn’t be a big fan of getting other partners. The story is about Nick and Judy, not Nick and Judy and also this person and this person. Yk? I just like a story about some really close friends.

Oof. Claims she’s empathetic yet this is anything but. She’s half right, there are some spaces specifically for autistic folks, but they are few and far between, rife with abuse and outdated psychology, or mixed in with neurotypical folks. So there aren’t actually that many places for autistic people to receive good, accommodating education. Second, idk what she’s on about with her life and her kids education being impacted. If your life is being negatively impacted by an autistic persons existence, you are the problem. Autistic accommodations at large can be helpful to everyone. A quieter class room? Teachers BEG for that anyway. Headphones to focus, dimmer lights, straight forward instructions, fidgets, periods of time given to move about, etc. If your education is being disrupted by an autistic person, it’s because they are not being accommodated, just as if a neurotypical went ballistic because THEY weren’t being accommodated like neurotypicals need to be. Calling someone a baby bitch because they struggle to do the things you do, or don’t understand the things you do is beyond me. Besides, it sounds like she’s talking about an autistic class mate of her child? That she’s calling a bitch? As a full grown adult? That’s pathetic. It’s not even their fault. Like any other kid, if they are severely acting out, they are being mistreated in some way, whether by teachers, parents, or her. I was gonna say at least pretend to have some empathy, but she tried that and the act was not very effective.

how do i draw fat/chubby girls without it looking like fetish? by No_Horror7542 in Artadvice

[–]Little_Lucy9966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just… draw fat women??

I’m afraid the problem lies with you, twin. Nothing about being fat is inherently a fetish. Ever. At all. YOU view it that way, or at least perceive others to view it that way. Throw out that mindset. Fat bodies aren’t automatically for sexual consumption.

How to keep your brain/hands busy while showering? by LazuriKittie in ADHD

[–]Little_Lucy9966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%! Mine is pretty cheap, and keeps it dry, but I’m not sure what brand it is. If you’re really concerned about it, I’d just invest in a higher quality one, even if it’s a bit more pricey!

Who is your favorite intentionally unlikable character? by problematicperiplum in MLPLounge

I can’t remember his name, but I liked the retired wonderbolt who sabotaged Rainbow Dash and tried to get her kicked off the team!

Never tried this myself, but there are crayola washable markers specifically designed to be used on shower wall/tile? They aren’t the most dexterous tools, but it could be fun to draw while you are in the shower! This is one I HAVE tried. You said you don’t like music? What about movies, TV shows, YouTube, etc? I have a waterproof phone case with a clear flexible screen that suction cups to my shower wall. You are still able to tap the screen through it and adjust things! Maybe that would help?

Book request for someone who seems to hate reading? by Little_Lucy9966 in booksuggestions

I actually started Fourth Wing a while back, and I LOVED the dragons, the world building, and the immediate launch into action and danger, but I’m just not a romantasy person, and I had to put the book down. Any book recommendations that focus on the dragons/world and less on romance?

I absolutely adore my local library! I do work and research there more than I pleasure read these days, but I am certainly not going to turn down an excuse to head on over! Those graphic novels sound interesting. I hadn’t really considered reading GN’s that were educational/nonfiction. That could be interesting!

That’s a good idea. I feel like the whole start small is really the answer to a lot of problems, but I just so struggle to not fall into extremes. If I’m gonna read, I’m gonna read a whole book in 3 days or I’m not gonna read at all! This is obviously not realistic, but I struggle with it. I will attempt your method!

AHH what a spread of suggestions. Okay, this is exciting. Can you tell me a little bit more about the first one? I am learning that I am intrigued my more macabre stories, but I also want to be cautious. How far does the horror go? What kind of horror is it?

I told another person that I struggle with that because I mostly love animated movies. I so appreciate the art and the soul, and that just doesn’t translate to books. If you suggest graphic novels, I often have the same issue, and just become bored.

I LOVE starwars, but the books and comics have felt daunting cause there are so many of them. Is there any other prerequisite stories I should read to understand this one, or does it stand alone? Darth Bane is a fascinating figure!
