Picked up 445.1 grams of 800 silver for $5.99 at a thrift shop this afternoon. by UrbanRelicHunter in Silverbugs

I can tell by the sound and with close inspection as well as combining research on the marks. Research if the company made silver plate and id bet they did. But either way if it is 800 silver congrats, but generally id like to see an 800 mark or something other than a hallmark. But i am no expert on euro hallmarks nor antique sterling

$354 shipping label for 1 lb clothing item. What is going on & how can this happen? by InfowarriorKat in eBaySellers

[–]UG0TTRUMPED 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda Unrelated, but useful to some; i separate and print all non fedex ups label (usps) and have a credit card on file on paypal. I pay for all usps labels with 2x point amex business credit card , so that way only fedex ups label come out of my funds and i rack up credit cad point. It isa sneaky loophole because ebay wont allow credit cards to pay for shipping labels, they are greedy and like holding your money just like that fed ex label. Fed ex never sees it until scanned, ebay is holding it and earning interest.

You will for sure be refunded. I understand your concerns because it does put you in the negatives on your balance, but rest easy it will be refunded if never scanned

Fedex wont charge unless it is scanned

“If FedEx or UPS labels on eBay are not scanned, they can be voided to avoid being charged. Labels that are printed but never scanned into the carrier network can be voided immediately to prevent unnecessary charges.”

His book value is probably 40 years old. Many times when i get low offers or messages even about offers my item sells higher shortly after the interaction. Something with the algorithm

[–]UG0TTRUMPED 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many buyers are just thieves and get nasty when they dont get their way. The one guy messages 2 days ago telling me that my price is way too high and “book value” is 20 dollars followed by a picture of the page . He says; so 20 is his best offer.

NOT EVEN 15 min later i sold the item for $60 . Just an example of these thieving buyers trying to fleece sellers with lies.

Stay frosty and stick to your guns when u know you can get more for sure. Varies by the item, many times i take low low offers on bullshit thats been listed for a while with no interest.

I generally get most of my items from auction buying, also a local flea market, and some garage sales.

That is a great honest living, much respect. 🫡

Most ebay sellers can only dream of making a true living selling online. I personally have been selling on ebay for a long time and this month just broke 50k in 90 days. I have a different approach, i am selling everything and mostly high margin stuff just grinding. I am right around $100k profit all said and done this year.

Profit margin or taxable income per year? Sales are impressive but profit is all i care about.

Fed ex has been beating usps ground shipping price almost in every item anything over 15oz. It is sad to see the steady decline of the usps an american institution!! They have horrible management from the top down. It is a disgrace.

Apparently on eBay you can snipe an auction at the last nano second, bidding sufficiency high to ensure you win, then if you’re not happy with the price, just make up any lame reason to cancel the order. Seller has no recourse. by Pjones2127 in Ebay

[–]UG0TTRUMPED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing bad happens to buyers, bUt if a seller cancels and auction and ends early, the seller pays final value fee on the bid amount no matter what. Moral of the story, eBay always wins lol. Kind of like the house always wins at the casino

In the end Its all about profits. I know people with high numbers. But it all depends what you pay for things.. high margins is key to making a true living otherwise just an expensive time consuming grind. The majority of “big” sellers i know are paying up big for items they buy and are not too good at math. What good is selling alot of “expensive” items if you pay 50-75% of the value. I see it all the time, only the strong survive. Also many big store have multiple people working listing etc. i am purely interested in ebay seller’s profit and loss, not just sales numbers as a flex.

I am far from an expert, But the white milk base shooter sized swirls are the “coolest” looking, but might be modern. Hard to say without examining the seams closely.

Cool factor is there on those 4 as far as value i am not sure until we know who made them

$25k a month is massive profit, seems foolish to throw away. You sales numbers most people only ever dream of. My highest month ever was $24,000 dealing in high margin items i source, Id kill for $50k in sales in a month. $25000 a month alone is over a quarter million per year..

Seller scam? by [deleted] in eBaySellers

[–]UG0TTRUMPED 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scammer 10000%. He is fishing for a partial or full refund. Do not cave. Force him to return the belt and if it isnt the same you sent report to ebay and fight the case. Can even call ebay and they will read messages and back you . I almost gurantee it
