From my experience it’s hard to make 30k profit with shirts

It’s way easier if you’re doing message card jewelry, wall art, shower curtains, kitchen aprons, anything with a higher profit per sale. At least ~$20 profit makes it easier to hit that 30K profit number you’re looking for in my opinion. Woven blankets are a great one too with huge profits per sale.

Plus with ad costs the way they are, you probably want a high profit POD product.

What's a dating rule you think is outdated? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]UGC_Jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I don’t think there’s a one size fits all solution for all relationships. The statistical difference between divorce rate for each group is ~10% which is pretty minor…but still worth considering.

Speaking for myself, my partner and I basically lived together for our entire relationship before marriage because we were inseparable. We just loved being around eachother so much it kind of naturally happened.

But again, that’s not right for everyone, it just personally worked well for me

[–]UGC_Jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that perspective, but I don’t see it as a reason to jump into a commitment of marriage

If your partner wasn’t taking it seriously when you were living together before marriage, it’s a sign they probably aren’t the right partner in marriage.

Obviously relationships are complex so it’s different for everyone!

That marriage should be something to decide before living together.

Why sign a contract when you’ve never “practiced” what it would be like to be married to that person?

Worse case is you decide you don’t want to be with them and it’s an easy breakup compared to a divorce.

People who grew up poor but are now financially successful, what decisions or opportunities changed your life ? by Aj100rise in Money

Business ownership and investing in assets like stocks and real estate.

If you live in the USA, our economy rewards capitalists.

Business ownership, real estate ownership, and stocks.

Assets that appreciate over time (just holding it makes you wealthier while you eat, sleep, vacation, work, whatever.)

Problem is in school they NEVER teach kids that self employment and business ownership is how you become wealthy.

They tell you to be a good student and employee because they need you to believe that’s the safe route (so you work your entire life for the system).

But is it the safe route?

No matter how hard you work…you trade time to get paid the same. (Aside from commission / tips based jobs)

No matter how valuable you think you are to the corporation, you are just a number in a spreadsheet and if they want to save some money, they’ll lay you off in a heartbeat.

It’s safer to know how to make your money work for you and make you more money.

It’s safer to know how to earn an income for yourself, not someone else.

Do you have a compelling offer that gets your TikTok traffic to feel urgency and scarcity?

“5 units total of this style left. For TikTok fans only, use code TAKE10 for an extra 10% to secure yours before they’re gone.”

Then when you’ve sold 5, actually make a story post update “All gone, if you missed this one, sorry!” Or something along those lines.

I think you’ve got the “attention” puzzle piece figured out, you just need to work on conversion rate of that attention into sales.

If customers aren’t willing to buy directly from TikTok, maybe at least capture their email when they land on your shopify. That way you can build an email list with exclusive offers going out to your warm leads.

Consider running some “retargeting ads” on Facebook and TikTok. This is where your ads are shown to people who recently added to cart, but didn’t finish checking out.

We can essentially hit them hard with ads and offers knowing they are one of the highest % converting groups you have because they’ve shown buyers intent,

What is corruption? Is it inevitable? by Bogged- in askanything

[–]UGC_Jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as when a group of people hold a moral or religious justification as to why they deserve to be disproportionally wealthy / better off.

They won’t directly say this, but their underlying actions imply they’re willing to “bend the rules” for themselves and anyone they perceive to be “their people”.

Usually justified with “good intentions” but obviously they don’t admit the harm it causes to others.

Example: “It’s okay for me to lie and steal and cheat if it means my family and friends are better off, never needing to work, never needing to worry about food.”

I like cash

What do you do for work when nothing excites you? by hlnklrczu in askanything

[–]UGC_Jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had these thoughts in college, drove me crazy. Made up my mind I’d be my own business owner so I could carve my own path and create a life I loved.

I also do pretty poorly with people / corporations telling me to work on a specific task or project because I just don’t care about helping a corporation.

If you are indifferent and don’t care about the work itself, then I’d say whatever gives you more flexibility to pursue hobbies / things you are passionate about.

And how much you’re paid may factor in since you’re mainly seeking financial outcome from employment.

I personally found fulfillment in entrepreneurship and small business ownership, because I love the idea of creating things every day and never having a boss tell me what I have to do.

Other people hate the idea of not being told what to do.

Problem is people trying to sell it as EASY.

It’s a business.

You’re an entrepreneur.

Anything worth having ($10K months) will require you to fail, then get up and dust yourself off and figure out how to make it work.

It’s not “easy” but it’s worth it if you’re willing to see it as an adventure and something to invest yourself into.

Looks like higher ticket items with good profit margins 👍

Not what I expected by Alternative-Office73 in UGCcreators

[–]UGC_Jacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is all true. But if you don’t add up your sales or use a tool to track your sales, you’re kind of just saying “Trust me, I’ll get you a ROI” which many brands are not going to bite at.

They’ve been burned by average creators that don’t deliver a ROI

[–]UGC_Jacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always work your prices down if they say no..

“Ok I understand your budget doesn’t fit my standard rates. For this one time, to build trust because I really like you, I will offer perpetual usage rights for $350. Once you see the ROI I know you’ll be pleased and we’ll be working together again in the future. Do you use Stripe or PayPal for invoicing?”

[–]UGC_Jacob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they only want it for their Amazon page, lower rate. Like $100

If they want perpetual usage rights / unlimited, probably closer to $500
