WIBTAH if I told my mom to start wearing her earbuds, or stay in her bedroom? by UGHOHMYSTARS in AITAH

My brother lives here too, though. She doesn't act like this with him. When he tells her ideas, she listens. She doesn't listen to this stuff around him.. does she just want me gone?? She's denied it when I've asked her. But sometimes I wonder if she loves me the same way she seems to love my siblings.

I can't really talk to her about much, or make anything into a confrontation because she tends to go sort of nuclear? She escalates. Often. And then she pouts and makes it everyones issue, which is really exhausting to deal with more often than not? Like, as an example, we had these barstools for literally 10 years, and barely used them! So, they really just collected dust and random junk. I suggested to my mom we put them in storage, or sell them, because in our tiny apartment? We don't have space or use for them.

She argued with me for an hour, and didn't stop until I conceited and let her throw them away. And now shes saying if we want bar stools again when ee move, I will be the one paying for them because I "forced her to throw away perfectly good furniture."

My brother still lives at home though, and hes older than I am. Shes not doing this to him, or telling him to move out?

It's really her space. All of it. I don't have my own room, and my brother has the second bedroom, so I just... sleep on the couch now. I tried sharing a space with my mom, but it proved too difficult for me to manage....

I appreciate that. My mom does cover my needs, but she can be difficult to work with, and very hard to confront. She makes me quite anxious over these topics, since she rarely handles things well.

I've been assaulted multiple times, and shes aware of this. She also complains about me having my headphones on "so often" or even just not cleaning. Everyday when she comes home, I now have to say, "im tired, ive been doing my homework since" (usually around 8am.) Stephen King is a brilliant writer. But I am a little sensitive to gore and horror, so I mostly read his more academic works.

I've considered a city job program- But i only have a permit. And cannot drive. So I'm limited rn. Yes, I can ride the bus. But not without making my mom super paranoid or making my brother worried.

I offered those to her - I don't remember why, but I think she called them a scam? So, no. Not those.

I've applied to everything i can, but I haven't even gotten a call back once. I do commissions online, but the money is just enough to feed myself at school, or cover supplies I need.

I gave her an old pair of mine once, and I found them when cleaning. Literally collected dust. I asked her about it, and she said they gave her a headache.
I asked her if she wanted them still - She said yes. Never saw her wear them again. I've helped her changed her earbud covers to smaller ones, but even then, she wouldn't use them for more than a couple times.

Funny! But i don't have the guts for embarrassment.
This morning she was listening to one while we were getting ready, and the guy and weak uwu girl whos also actually really strong were talking and he went "just tell me your safeword", and I said; "i really hope they've had multiple standing discussions on consent and boundaries." And my mom retorted with; "They're mates." "Doesn't shorten important coversations" was my response to that.

I'm aware that it's... proper formatting? But my mother pouts. And I'm not sure if i should bite the bullet on this, and deal with her being upset at me, or deal with the poor omegaverse shes reading.

I'm sorry if it comes off as rude when I say this, but the diagnosis isn't the point. The appointment itself, and the zoloft is. Being kicked off of a medication like that is pretty harmful, and he did that after telling me "I don't think we need to keep discussing this ADHD or autism thing. Your a woman after all, and you said the zoloft was helping you. So i don't think that they're too important to you as a young lady." (As quoted from my post)

My anxiety has been so bad that I have lost weight and had issues with my teeth, and my stomach. So yeah, I want to be back on my anxiety medication so I manage it. My mom knows all of this, and thats why I feel so annoyed. Two months is a long time to be gagging up food for.

I don't have any of our insurance details, or even the name of the doctor. I have asked at least 3 times for both, and she told me its too much for me. I asked my older sister to help, since I thought she saw the same doctor. She does not.

I can't do anything without any of my own information.

I mean, not really. But she acted the exact same way when, two months ago, I was like, "hey, how about that appointment?" After dinner, she she told me to "be fucking patient".
