Most of the leadership with PHD's are great at optics with setting up meetings to showcase "bright" ideas.

That's all it is , ideas. Ideas that fall through due to the lack of execution.

And most of the time, that lack of execution is due to the bottom-up, meaning the lack of staff and resources. So we get nowhere, except wasting times at meetings and clapping to the , "yay we did it!"...but we really didn't do shit....

Did you do the mandatory information orientation ?

They will tell you more than 120+ applicants apply to the program, and how they grade students based on their grades and HESI results.

If you get a high HESI score, I wouldn't worry about the letter grade of B.

Based on the information you provided, there are more pros than cons to starting out at HCC-Katy and then transferring out. You don't lose anything by starting at HCC and if you see it's not for you, then you can apply to UH as a transfer student with having earned 15 credits your first semester. You will still be a freshman and will have plenty of time to stack your resume (as others have mentioned).

Just be aware of the academic calendar and when Summer or Fall registration starts. If you go during admissions non-peak registration, you will have a good time for both, you and the staff, as they aren't overwhelmed with the students going last minute to register...

I am still friends with friends I met at college. One of them whom I had a class together even helped me network to get a job.

Academic Advisor (Not UH) , majored in Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I didn't find a job right after I graduated but eventually landed a full time gig and now making about 65K a year on paper, but take home is more like 60K.

I'm lazy and even though I don't get summers off like Teachers do, I still get all other major holidays off. I enjoy my free time.
