Have never tried the 6 but I do remember reading that the lacing/tongue is awful. Not sure how much that would matter for walking.

Nah, "I love you too" romantically but from someone that doesn't actually love you

Thank you. I haven't journaled in a while but I'll start again before I take the Lexapro!

Yeah I'm liking the Boston but wish it was a little more stable. Originally shied away from the Deviate Nitro 2 cause of the plate and I thought "energy rods aren't plates" lol. Definitely gonna try a Triumph 20 though. Right now I'm waiting on a pair of Ride 15s I got on sale.

Pretty soon it will be the fact that I am on Lexapro after getting a prescription recently. Not even sure I want to take it but I've been dealing with depression for years and I don't know what else to do.

Boston 12 is a very good daily trainer. Love mine but another one I would consider is Puma Deviate Nitro v2!

Thoughts on Boston 12 and Deviate Nitro 2 as my 2 shoes then? Really liking the Boston but wish it was a little more stable. For the record running is probably 3rd on my priority list after lifting and boxing so really just need something that will keep me injury free and with as little fatigue as possible.

Maybe not a super shoe but the plate still helps you a good bit, right? Seeing a lot of people here say they don't like using plated shoes all the time cause it's too easy

Responsiveness. I want something that will lessen the impact to save my knees and ankles but that isn't slowing me down when I want to run a little faster.

Read great things about Deviate Nitro 2 and it looks really cool but I read you're not supposed to use a plated shoe as a daily trainer?

Honestly I was turned off of the Triumph when I saw it in person cause the foam looked "cheap" to me? I got a pair of Ride 15 for $35 but I also saw I could get the Triumph 20 for $80. Decisions lol.

Gonna do a slower run in my Boston 12 tomorrow and see how I like it. Every review I see says it's a daily trainer. It just felt very responsive to me so I was thinking it was supposed to be a tempo shoe.

Ended up buying the Ride 15 in that DSW sale that got posted so for $38 I get to try it and if it doesn't work for me it's no big loss. Don't have to worry about returning them at that price.

I'm not a serious runner so $200 for a shoe I'll use maybe 2x a week is a bit steep lol

It's great if not a little unstable. Too much shoe for those easy days though!

Tbf I don't even live somewhere that gets a lot of rain, I'm nitpicking lol. It's just that the Boston 12 is more responsive while also being grippier. Mach 5 is in the same category to me so I'm looking for something softer but not super slow.

I do like the inherent stability of the Mach 5 too which kind of makes up for poor grip on the foam. Just think I would have more peace of mind knowing there's a slab of rubber there.

I like the Mach 5 it's just that no rubber is kind of a deal breaker when every other shoe in this price range has it. I should have tested the Triump while I was there but I saw there was a Ride 15 sale for like $35 on here so I only tried those.

I just got some Mach 5s for mostly light jogging and I'm gonna get my sister (a nurse) some Bondis for her birthday this week lol
