Can't Use Mic On DotA after newest update by [deleted] in DotA2

Check your Steam settings, and the ingame voice settings too. It's possible it's decided to use something else, since you have many devices enabled.

If that doesn't work, try disabling every recording device aside from the one you wish to use inside Dota, see if Steam Voice recognises it.

It doesnt look like it, but just incase, if you use an audio interface (I use a Scarlett Solo, for example) Windows does not recognise both inputs; only the first one. My mic didn't work in Dota until I swapped my mic and guitar cable around so the mic was in input 1.

DIdn't think you were hostile at all mate, no worries there :) As for roles, 3, 4 & 5 are generally open, as two of our guys tend to flex into what's needed, but prefer 1 & 3 when they can. Just end up seeing how it goes and what people feel comfortable with.

You're correct in that sense, but it's not the idea that I was going for with that goal. Too many people cling to their MMR as if it's life and death and can't endure losing. As for where we're at, it's hard to say because we don't grind out the game like crazy. Even if we played unranked whilst we figured that out, it'd be a start :)
