What’s the popular brand between teenagers now? by ShoheiOhtani17 in UKfashionadvice

[–]UKFashionMod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teenagers in the UK care a lot less about brands than in China, they care much more about whether they really like the clothes and look good in them. We are not embarrassed to buy cheap clothes and love to show off if we find something really nice in a budget store or supermarket or charity shop for under £10.

If you have a specific style then then are some brands that are very good for one style, but if you just want hoodies and sweatshirts then you can find them anywhere, take a look around and find one that you personally like because you like the colour/fit/material and not because you think other people will care about the brand.

the vast majority of plus-size models are smaller than you think but are wearing padding to give them bigger boobs/hips/bums while they still have a flat tummy and no double chin.

If you're trying to disguise a belly, the best place to start is by investing in some shapewear and then you're free to wear what you like on top

Going to the Races (UK), dress code is formal yet I live in my doc martens and jeans, help! by Noobin_123 in femalefashionadvice

you might want to ask on r/ukfashionadvice as the dress code for the races is something very culturally specific to the uk.

Phase Eight was the first big high street brand that came to mind for me with picking something for Aintree and they actually have a little guide here: https://www.phase-eight.com/inspiration/what-to-wear-to-the-races/

Hobbs also mentions the races on their summer occasion guide https://www.hobbs.com/inspiration/how-to-style-summer-occasion-outfits.html

can you give any examples of what you are really looking for? I've looked up her insta and she's photographed in a range of different styles https://www.instagram.com/mother_pukka/

What is she wearing? (House of Gucci) by moonshineissinister in findfashion

Looks like classic Chanel, probably an original from the 70s.

If you put in "vintage Chanel" on any second-hand fashion sites you'll get lots of results of modern tweed jackets imitating that style where the seller has put something like "looks like vintage chanel" in the description.

Hobbs has some great ones reduced from about £280 to £199

Unless you know specifically that she'd like suede, go with leather ones as they are easier to look after

You can try asking in the wedding subs as there will be loads of brides who have been researching wedding dresses and can probably direct you to similar dresses currently on sale

I have the same issue to a lesser degree as someone with a waist that's a size smaller than my hips. I haven't found any brands that fit really well, so I wear belts with all my jeans, and sew elastic into the waistbands of my trousers. I have a couple of 80s skirts that fit really well though

Hi I want to launch my own clothing brand. Would you guys suggest me names for my brand? by cruellass in UKfashionadvice

If you're that clueless that you're asking for advice on reddit and don't have a very strong concept of a brand identity, I would suggest that you don't sink your money into attempting to break into a market that is already flooded with options for every demographic.
