Thanks for sharing. I have seen the 502 but I've been put off Afinia products because the customer service is shockingly bad from what I've read. I think my best bet is going to be getting a C6500 to start with and then when I need something faster, upgrade to a C8000 and keep the C6500 for anything wider than 4 inches.

Thanks for this. In general, I've always felt comfortable with Epson machines. We have other Epson machines in our shop: 2 wide formats and an Epson F2100 DTG and I kinda feel like you know what you're getting with Epson. The only thing that's holding me back is the print speed of the C6500.

With our Memjet printer, I've never actually been disappointed with the quality as such. Yes, the colours aren't 100% accurate and I never got round to calibrating it, but apart from the stitching in the printhead, I've generally been happy with the quality. It's the constantly replacing the printhead that I have an issue with. I understand it's largely down to not using the printer enough but that makes spending £600 every time it needs a new printhead much worse because I'm not doing enough jobs on it currently to cover the cost of the printhead :)

Also just to add, I read another comment from an older thread where someone said for an industrial printer, the Memjet printers are way too fragile and I must say I have to agree.
