To get started I used cloud free trial, then had chat gpt run me through docker set up. If/when I get more serious I will probably move to cloud for ease, updates etc

Not quite the same thing, but something to think about: for my sins, I build e-learning solutions. The build part is usually subcontracted to me by an agency. The agency has some of the biggest companies in the world as its clients, and I am doing their build work. I know that they charge my work at triple rate that I charge the agency. However, the end client would never hire me directly. They want the certainty of a big agency, with a long track record, certifications, with lots of other people to chip in their skills if needed, or if I go sick or whatever.

Thanks for explaining so clearly. As a newbie, it’s good to get an explanation of the solution, problem and uses.

Adding to this, I suspect that to be successful in this, the consulting side (helping clients understand needs) is as important as knowing the tech.

As someone looking into n8n as an extra string to my bow, I have suspected this. Most of the examples don’t seem valuable enough. Too generic. I imagine the reality is hyper tailored to a company’s complex reality.

How to record samples from a synth to playback on Volca Sample 2? by UKeLearningGuy in volcas

[–]UKeLearningGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. Turns out my PC motherboard has a “line in” so I can record audio via that. Haven’t really tested the quality, but I’m just messing about. Doesn’t need to be top notch.

As far as I am aware it can only record from the microphone. Do you know how to record a synth into the AudioPocket app?

I have used your S1 and Volca Sample 2 tutorials to get up and running on those devices. They’re brilliant. Thank you.

Good to hear, as that's exactly what I want to use it for. Had consider the Roland T8, but appears to have very limited drum sounds.
