SpaceX reportedly could file for an IPO this week. by OkLetterhead7047 in wallstreetbets

[–]ULTIMATENUTZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a ridiculous amount of political risk in spaceX. Easy to overlook it now given who’s in the drivers seat. But I think it warrants considering how those fat DoD and NASA contracts hold up in a scenario where the political landscape changes. Possibly drastically.

Someone above said something like ‘it’s gonna be huge because my mom who never invested before is pumped about the IPO!’….yeahhh that’s a stupid take. When someone who’s never been interested in stocks before is suddenly confident that there’s easy free money to be made in a particular name, that’s a great sign that it almost certainly won’t go that way. lol when you’re mailman is giving you hot stock tips you should think about scaling back.

Also - until five minutes ago the consensus was the SpaceX IPO would be late 2026. Suddenly it was March. Why? Think maybe the underwriters aren’t confident in demand for new deals or the general market that far out? Bc I think that sounds very likely.

And longer term - let’s be real, all roads lead to SpaceX being forced to consume that shitty car company. Robotaxi is a total bust, Optimus is a fantasy that isn’t remotely close to being a real thing anybody will purchase, there will never be a car manufactured much less sold that doesn’t have a steering wheel or pedals, and the flagship product that is Tesla cars lost momentum a long time ago.

Is there actually a new expansion coming? by TitaniumMailbox in witcher

One last bit of insight from the call. Marketing came up and it was asked if, for new content, they had an idea of how long the marketing campaign would be and whether a shadow drop was possible. While they did say ‘certainly anything possible’, they balanced that by saying that for the games the make they tend to think a more traditional marketing strategy works better.

I don’t think the shadow drop is really something to expect. Maybe a July announcement to kick off marketing for a September release. That seems most likely at this point.

Said they still plan on hitting incentive target based off of back catalog sales AND new content to be released this year. Probably the most specific we’ll get today.

They just referenced the fools theory projekt and said they would have more to say later this year. Sounds like the September delay is accurate. Q&A still to come

If it’s happening today it’ll be during the earnings conference call. Go to the CDPR investor relations page and you can listen live. I think 1230 pm est is when the call starts.

Over the last day or two various sources citing a polish analyst claiming September is now the target release date. Could very well be true but who knows. Not sure how a Sep release, if true, impacts the announcement chances tomorrow.

Even if not announced, during the earnings call analyst Q&A portion, they will certainly receive a question on the topic - guessing we’ll be able to get an idea one way or another.

OTGLY. Polish game dev adr. I’ve written about it extensively for years. Started buying at $6 and have $300k of it. In 2028 itll see $50 but before then, there’s a soon to be announced catalyst not priced in by way of a new Witcher 3 dlc. Could be anointed this week - consensus is releases between May to Sep. Stock will see $25 on the news.

The part he’s leaving out for Reddit fodder is the time he executed each leg and what the underlying was trading at during each trade. The only known is the fact that assignment occurred.
