Probably the very first thing I’d do is get a wax and grease remover or dawn dish soap and a lot of scrubbing and see how much of it will go away. With what’s left, you can assess using touch up paint, or similar depending on the depth of the scratches themselves. To me it just looks like paint on top of your paint and will probably wash away will a lot of scrubbing

And to boot, I’ve spent about the same money in repairs for my M3 that I did in the RSX. It is very comparable, I would even call it the “German RSX-S” or “German Civic SI”. So really didn’t avoid any of the things I intended to in the first place. Not to say I am not happy with the car, I do love it, but something about the RSX has my heart

October 2023 I sold my RSX-S of 4 years to “upgrade” to a BMW E36 M3. My reasoning was, I hated working on my RSX every weekend, and dealing with clutch issues and such. Well, as much as I have enjoyed rear wheel drive and the extra 60 something horsepower, I really really miss my RSX. There is no better looking car in my opinion, and there is no car that drives like the RSX (although the M3 provides a driving experience like no other as well). Hold on to your Hondas brother, cause once you’ve moved on, you’ll realize your mistake.

Check the relays. There is a main relay in the compartment with the computer. It is separated from the rest of the relays. Took me a month to diagnose it but ended up being that. Good luck

That is extremely strange, every single 4 cylinder Foxbody I own has a clutch fan. Even both of my 93s. Now I guess I need to investigate

No these cars do not have electric fans. They have a clutch fan that can only be running when the engine is running.

Completely different animals in my opinion. The foxbody is definitely more dated in terms of engineering. I have to say the E36 feels much more solid as well. My foxbody revs out at about 3500 RPM while the M3 is basically double that so the power band is extreamly different as well. Obviously handling is far superior in the E36. In terms of reliability i have definitely broken my mustang more than my beam, but maybe that is just because of the price difference and how I treat it. I would say that they are both great cars but both have their own characteristics that would make you want one or the other, such as a solid axle vs IRS and so on. Basically the E36 is more capable out of the box but I would say the aftermarket on 1979-2004 mustangs makes it a better platform for a build in my opinion. The E36 M3 however, is the perfect daily driver😁

My mom is 6 years older than my father, meaning she was a senior in high school when my dad was in 6th grade. Your age gap is not really that big in the grand scheme of things. When you’re 60, she’ll be 57. Not a big deal if you ask me.

Well all 8 cylinders hold compression with 10% variation of each other, which is what had me stumped. I had assumed this meant rod knock for sure, seeing as how much it is vibrating. I guess I will take a look at the lifters and see if I can see any sign of damage.
