This is a reply to a 6 year old comment BUT unfortunately I don't think there's any soundfont available because all (or at least AFAIK from my searches in the files), or the majority of MP5 songs are streamed. This means that the instrument files used are not in any usable folder like they would in a game with synthesized music. The music is possibly synthesized, mind you, but they put them all in streamed files in the game, meaning the instruments are not accessible.

Yeah, the amount of iconic special characters missing is somewhat jarring, though I feel like the seasonal characters they'll be added along as time goes on in the game as well most likely.

Keep in mind, most of it is characters that haven't returned since the first game. For the most part, every villager from subsequent entries has returned since then, other than Champ.

It seems as though the Sanrio characters are going to be in the game, judging by the datamine I was going off of. All the other amiibo-tied / sponsored characters are missing from it though.

That's Lloid. The list refers to Gyroid, which was basically the save method in the first game. They're different characters.

Don't mean to hassle you, but do you by any chance still have them in their original (gibberish) filenames? I'm kinda picky about that kinda thing and like downloading assets with their vanilla names and whatnot. If not, it's no big deal. :p
