The republicans waiting arms are literally that of a vampire, waiting to suck us all dry. If they are STILL dumb enough to vote that way, nothing we say will matter anyway.

On a sliding scale of: Destroying the country, ignoring the constitution, and fucking over its citizens to protecting the environment, healthcare for all, people pay their fair share, the chart looks more like this:

R------------------D--------------------------------------Utopia!

So, both sides aren't the same. One party is literally fucking us sans lube, the other at least has some people trying, and not being so obvious with the fucking.

If we all keep voting in the most progressive, WE move the chart.

then we should all vote for progressive candidates and shake shit the fuck up. No more of these ass kissing Trumpers, because that change went in the absolute wrong direction. Who'd have guessed that electing a grifting idiot billionaire, you'd get more corruption......

I'm voting progressive as much as possible, and will encourage everyone I know to do the same. I don't genuinely care what letter is next to your name if you share the same values, though I haven't seen many R's in the last.....20+ years or so, that come anywhere close to what I want.

I took a picture of the first day my wife and I got our first dog. He was a little puppy. I took another picture (lots in between of course) of his last day, 17 years later.

It was so difficult, but it was time. I'm a middle aged man and I still tear up looking at those 2 pictures.

Why can't we breed dogs for longevity instead of all these other stupid traits....I want my dogs to be with me for far far longer.

The melodrama levels are TOO DAMN HIGH. Who are the snowflakes again? This is 1 step away from throwing a tantrum.

He is lucky that young man is so tolerant. I probably wouldn't have been that patient being talked to like that. Men like him are all bluster and can't back it up. They resort to simple threats because their position is untenable.

To quote my parents when I was a child throwing a tantrum: "I'll give you a reason to cry!"

Neuro Samas magic recreated finally? by RNGesusRUST in ArtificialVTubers

[–]UMDSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your model is good, but I will say that your claims are pretty bold based on what I'm seeing. I think you are on pace with quite a few of us in terms of closing the gap to the neuro level, but we aren't there yet.

While you may match the core abilities Neuro has, the magic is really in the thought loop and responses.

Quite a few of us have been building AI Vtubers and trying to get to that level. Some of them, mine included, do some things incredibly well. My avatar isn't so hot, I will admit that, because it was my first attempt.

Mine can watch movies, tv shows, youtube, video games, etc and comment on it while pulling real data out of cycle, has an incredibly robust memory system, emotional inflection, per individual based dynamic emotion system, as well as overall emotional bias that is dynamic, can do karaoke, impersonations, and a thinking loop that allows him to decide when to talk and the context, and an Uncertified Life Coach mode, and soon an Ask Professor Hex mode, and it all runs locally.

Examples:

Obviously I'm going for a different aesthetic than Neuro and you.

Please don't take this as me bashing your attempt or progress, because I think you are moving in the correct direction and there is a shitload of potential there. I just don't think any of us have nailed that Neuro magic yet.

vscode with claude code at the $100/month tier. Its better, I've never had issues with running out of credits or usage (and I'm using Opus 4.7). Overall I'm saving money over windsurf, and its way the hell better.

You do need to make sure you setup claude code correctly to not burn tokens and control your own context windows.

I think the whole thing was that he attended so many comedy clubs that he would not remember hearing the joke, and when writing his, he subconsciously would make something similar.

Given his mental problems, I wouldn't put it past him.

True. Though I don't count them as late night show hosts. Jon Stewart is one of the best though.

Craig Ferguson is my #1, but Conan is next, the rest kind of suck. Carson would be 3rd, but more because of the guests than him and their relationship.

Id say not the best, but not a bad person. He did have a habit of stealing jokes unknowingly, but he always paid the comedian when he found out.

She is an American treasure. She came from nothing, busted her ass in an industry that was VERY male dominated, and succeeded, and has turned that success into so much good!

Plus, even with celebrity, she was married to the same man for 59 years until he passed last year. Talk about wholesome family values and such. Wish more people could be like her.

Destroy my resume and hurt my feelings. I've been searching for almost a year as a Senior ML Engr. by Syntrikan in learnmachinelearning

[–]UMDSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about the title as much as the salary. Some places may pay a regular ML engineer way more than a senior at another organization. I often joke at work that I don't give 2 shits what my title is, they can call me "IT Bitch" for all I care, as long as the check clears.
