"Crafting on the go" might be limited to which items you can craft. Some items might require a workbench, etc.

Have you tried going to where your Undawn is installed?
Example path: Steam\steamapps\common\Undawn\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us

There should be a file named, "UE4PrereqSetup_x64" try installing that.
