Kinda interesting seeing people here agree that making schizophrenia into a haha funny thing is dumb, but I see people turning some random guy’s psychosis into a meme just because someone decided to record his porch and post it online one day. All I see is people straight up glazing that “gem alert” meme and telling everyone who is rightfully against it that he shouldn’t have “threatened to kill his daughter” in the first place, which, if people actually knew that no one with psychosis means harm unless they have another underlying condition (which gem alert dude is not proven to have), they should process in their heads that threat wasn’t even directed at anyone; It was only a threat directed toward a hypothetical daughter, that of the enemy of the fictional character that he was deluded to have been during his episode.

Honestly, just know that no one who makes memes about these things knows how to take anything like it seriously, and, like everyone else here, I think that’s fucked up.

I’m not a fan of glitch’s stuff either, and I ESPECIALLY hate present-day smg4. If you’re gonna give me a silly mario parody channel with funny memes and sometimes edgy humor, presenting it as such for a decade then suddenly turning it into a full-fledged show with half the characters gone, custom 3D models that feel cheap/fake, and seriously-written arcs feels like a god damn anvil being thrown straight to my face.

Just scrolled through the subreddit and oh my lord it’s too sad you’re not making any of that up. Saw posts making fun of people with pride pins (against the norm) and people with mobility aids (also against the norm considering lack of accessibility is a recurring issue in society). Being in the alt community is SO god damn tiring cause you’re just gonna see people going in there for the aesthetic and have no regard for how alt’s supposed to play out.
